Duffs bass tone is arguably the best bass tone ever alone with mike starr from alice in chains and rex brown of pantera all amazing players and the tones are even more powerful they just fit the whole records well i think the hardest thing is finding the right tone for your songs and others songs too

I have that bass, all mid, you can set fender jazz bass special japan 86 with 10%high, mid high 3% only mid low 23%, low just 3% and gain will be 30% higher then the volume, if you not setting like this, the sounds would be suck! I play on fender rumble 40! If you play this bass on any amp, set just the same like that, all.mid!
