  • I swear, this extremely ingenious and at the same time so pretty music instrument is like a Mercedes Benz…close your eyes and just enjoy. Uh, but don't close your eyes when you're driving a vehicle ever

  • I love mine. On the humbucker it's like a telecaster on steroids. on the other hand I removed the capacitor in the middle position and the sound is much more open.
regarding the buzz it is very light. I'm just thinking of changing the DP90 for a microphone with more character.

  • Great video. I have a starplayer and those trems are brilliant. They stay in tune really well even if you go from standard to drop d and back to standard. Never had that on a bigsby or a strat. I like my starplayer that much that I am contemplating buying another duesenberg. Incredible guitars.

  • I still have a hard time understanding why Duesenberg goes out of their way to avoid informing buyers where their guitars are manufactured. Especially given the price.

  • Have a Tom Bukovac signature Star player with the Piezoelectric pickup.incredibly well made. Middle position with the Piezo blended provides a really unique tone. How can it be bad if Uncle Larry likes it? As always great video.

  • Uncle Larry, (Tom Bukovac for those that don't know), just played his whole set with Ann Wilson at Wacken with his Session Man from Duesenberg. If you look up Tom Bukovac "Wacken in Memphis" here on YouTube, you'll see a link in the comments from him regarding the show – which sounded wonderful by the way! Check it out if you get a chance. These are GREAT guitars Shane! Nice playing!! Hope to own one someday. ✌????

  • Great demo Shane. I have a Star Player Special that i love, it's a great LP style guitar and it's also a bit on the Gretsch side as well. Also everything that Duesenberg puts on their guitar is made by them, great quality instruments.

  • Love the Deusenberg look and your playing Shane but the guitar tone is just noise to me. It lacked clarity and bottom end. Not my cup of tea… ????

  • Thanks again to Jerry's Lefty Guitars for providing the guitar for this great demo, review, and video. I like the clean tones of this guitar, but I really like the cleans with both pickups selected. For those that may not be aware of its availability, I use the Duesenberg Tremolo on two of my Les Pauls. Different mounting but same basic features as the Trem on this one. Thank you for another great demo, review, and video, Shane. Please keep them coming.

  • It's a doozy! Thanks, Shane, an interesting guitar. I've considered getting a Duesenberg Les Trem II unit to add to a guitar. They seem to work very well and are apparently drop-in replacements for stop-tailpieces.

  • I have the Starplayer TV which appears to have the same pickups. It’s incredibly well made. Not 100% sure but I think the bridge is installed backwards. Hard to see the saddles though.

  • I've got myself a lefty starplayer. The Mike Campbell signature.
…and I stopped playing guitar shortly afterwards

  • Cool guitar!
I love non traditional body styles in lefty, Les Paul’s, Tele etc always look a little strange to me.
The neck pickup seems a bit noisy, maybe it’s the room, but overall a very cool guitar

  • Everything about this guitar says it's a rare thing. I thought they only made the most sensible trem system, and not the whole guitar, so this one is a very cool surprise. Ds in the place of the dot inlays would have been a nice touch. (I believe iinlays should flaunt the brand while looking good.) All those lefties….aahhhhh, a breath of fresh air!

  • The first few minutes jam track was a spicy and wonderful bit of playing sir. Well done you.

  • The trem wins !!! Another well engineered variation of a classic shape!!! ????????????????????????????

  • That guitar is bad ass! Your playing on the jam track rocks. A local shop stocks them but I’ve never tried one.
Although the last thing I need is another premium priced guitar.
    Still….

  • What a cool looking and sounding guitar with an impressive trem system as well. Great playing and demo, Shane!

  • Excellent guitar and amazing tone,
Your playing definitely highlighted the versatility of that fine instrument
