Where did that statement about the amp not being able to work well with a single 4 ohm load come from? I actually contacted Ashdown about that and was assured that a single 4 ohm cabinet would NOT be a problem.
Why do Americans INSIST on pronouncing things incorrectly… MY bass. Good review though!
Aw shit he played that Red Clay in the beginning!
I love john for reviews, and his last rig rundown was significantly better than his others.
Looks like the same chassis as that weird Crate solid state guitar amp. Interesting.
this sounds exactly like my Crate PB150 and it has more features.
Crate made the original what a rip
How many watts?
Finally a review NOT done by that Bolinger guy, THANK YOU.
Might be good for studio stuff. Besides that it's too expensive for any kind of practice amp and too weak for live.
So not only does the gain sound horrid but the low notes on the ERB start clipping? I would of never expected that from Ashdown.
Great demo, I thought I'd hate it but it's really quite nice 🙂
First lie of the industry: Â Wattage……The wattage given from these amps is PEAK. Â Momentary. Not true wattage. Â A "500w" class D bass amp, might be running at 150w to 200w. period. Â
That distortion is just horrid.
Red Clay! I used to play that song in a jazz ensemble in college. Great tune.
