Fender Tone Master Pro Update: Bass Amps Demo
Which new Bass Amp Model is your favorite?
Fender Just released the latest firmware update for the Tone Master Pro, and this timethey’re looking after the bass players with the addition of 4 Bass Amps, a handful of cabinets and some bass effects.
I put together a quick demo of the new amps and am really digging the sounds I’m getting out of it.
First up is the Fender Super Bassman. This is split into two models, the Vintage Channel, which is where all your classic Fender Super Bassman tones live, and the Overdrive channel which can let you blend in an impressive amount of drive. I’m running both of these into the Bassman 1×15 Cabinet.
Next we have the ‘66 Flip Top, based on the studio Classic Ampeg B-15. This one is incredible versatile and can nail a bunch of sounds, I love it here with some flatwounds and fingerpicking. It’s running through the matching 1×15 cab.
And lastly, is the Rampage Blueline, based on the legendary Ampeg SVT. These style tones are typically my go to when I’m playing bass and this model does not dissapoint. It sounds fantastic cranked up and running into the matching 8×10 cabinet.
The new update also features a Bass Overdrive (based on the sansamp) and a couple of bass equalizers. As well as a new bassman model for guitarists and a handful of new pedals and some other great functional upgrades. We’ll likely take a look at those soon but for now enjoy these Bass tones.
Signal Chain is nice and simple, I’m running my 89 Precision Bass and my Vintera II Mustang Bass straight into the TMP.

Not Enough Bass Features For Me To Purchase Yet What About Built In Bass Pedals etc
Have you tested the TMP + bass + any of FR- amps?
@ https://youtube.com/shorts/RyvwhCK7020?si=vhhZd1ZoKKuN6KNT my tmp has an annoying high frequency hum – though not obvious but bothering when I am working quietly. I upload a video- it’s not obvious and buried by other sounds when playing music but you know how painful it is when hearing it composing or needing quiet space . It’s not related to any setting or preset either as I changed and tested. When turning on the device it’s there. If it’s not common I should consider change for a new one as this is brand new ???? could you please share your experience and advise? Thanks a lot ????
I think it needs to have more bass stuff before I’m on the side of wanting to purchase, although its heading in that direction, good on them.
Namely more amp/cab emulations from popular brands (Aguilar, Darkglass, Mesa, Orange, Trace Elliott, etc), high/low pass in the splitter or EQ to allow DI/amp processing, 3 or 4 way split modes for multiband uses, more comp models; and capture ability. Heck if they can also do an emulation of boutique brands (eg. Bergantino, Genzler, Markbass) its a sweet bonus!
Do that and I’ll sell my GT1Kcore and Darkglass pedals
Ok I am a guitar player but the update is nice. The new silver clone pedal is freaking me out
