Martin DJR-10E Bass Demo from Peghead Nation
Martin Guitar’s new DJR-10E Bass is a compact bass guitar that’s based on the company’s Dreadnought Junior body. Using specially developed nylon-core strings with a short 24-inch scale, the instruments offer easy playability and surprisingly rich bass tones, which are further enhanced when using the onboard Fishman electronics. In this video, Peghead Nation’s Teja Gerken demonstrates the bass.

No EQpreamp?
what is action please
It sounds very cool, but it sounds more like an acoustic guitar than an upright double bass.
Martin is hands down the best at making Acoustic guitars.
What we want is DX bass with a 34" scale for around $750 Not this mini crap.
Instead they designed something that already fits in the gig bags the give out for free.
What Martin is asking for their long scale bass you could buy a precision, a jazz bass and a Takamine and still have enough left over for a pretty good dinner.
Oh by the way there is no affordable 5 string acoustic that is audible
Very cool. Thanks for the demo
この方もベーシストではないですね。
Can you put any bass strings on it trimmed down to size or only the Martin strings?
Scale is too short for real bass players. I hope Martin considers offering a 30” short-scale , non-cut version, like Guild does.
