  • Many years ago, I bought a Peterson strobe tuner. It is spot on with its tuning. My other tuners are not so accurate; after using them, I had to adjust by ear.
I would like to see this unit have its tuning checked out by a Peterson strobe tuner before I buy one, if it isn't as accurate, then its useless to me.

  • One thing to note that i just discovered is that you can use the winder in tuner mode by pressing left or right(to wind or unwind) and it only works when pressed if you have stress about snapping strings.

  • The “tune up” feature is great so it leaves no slack in your strings.
Also tuning with capos. How often do your capo tensions leave you out of tune playing live? As long as your intonation is set up, it should get it right.
Only con: it’s quite loud. So if I’m tuning between songs and someone is speaking or praying (church context) the beep beep is like the Roadrunner arriving. Otherwise happy with mine.

  • I already have owned a number of tuners. I now have two, one as a backup. My main tuner is a Peterson Strobe Tuner at around $65. Also have a Poly-Tuner as my backup, but was my main one before I bought the Strobe. To me, a Strobe tuner is THE best. Not sure I'd want to spend $129 on this tuner. I have a "hand winder" for changing strings that works just fine. Plus some of my EG's have locking tuners. Thanks for the VID though.

  • I have this to replace my other Rodie. The one thing. I dont like is that it tunes my guitar a step down and. I dont know how to get it back up like my old Rodie had it. It does have a-lot of presets. I just need it for my 6 and 7 string.

  • Disappointed so far. Doesn't tune the G and B strings well at all even after going through the calibration exercise which I did on all 3 electrics I have. Honestly, using the harmonic tuning method yields better results than this device sorry to say.

  • From what I’ve seen it will wind and tune all in one no need to pull it off and switch back and forth. Look into it though and I think you find it’s even more awesome than you thought lol ✌️

  • Very Bad.
Does not get the E string . It is a sign for bad sensitivity.

  • This things works, for the most part, but lately I've found mine wont tune the high E to an F. Even when I have programmed it on my phone and then syncd it, it still wont understand. Very frustrating

  • You can press the button twice and it will stop winding, it saves just whipping it off. I expect it takes a little practice and as you said, we don't want snapped strings. My wife bought me one for my birthday, what a lovely gift. I had that problem with the High E, it works every time. I collaborate mine before every use which gets me thinking, would the normal Tuner be as quick? Still i am really taken with mine. The numerous different tunings is a superb function. Great stuff Shane, thanks pal.

  • Completely useless device as it does not tune UP to the note. It just as often tunes DOWN to the note, which guarantees that strings will quickly go out of tune, like during your performance! Don't waste your money!

  • Do you have an issue where it struggles to tune the Low E on guitar? I've had that with the roadie 2.

  • So, rather than listen to my reasons why you shouldn't buy one of these overpriced and inaccurate toys, just watch the numerous youtube reviews where they compare it's accuracy. None of the Roadies have ever rated highly and you should only waste your money, like I did, if you think that rough enough is good enough.
