Reviews of the Donner DST-152;
Donner DST-550 full sized electric guitar unboxing, walkthrough, tests and review. The Donner DST-550 is a very versatile, feature packed full sized electric guitar that looks and sounds great. The design sits somewhere between a Fender Stratocaster and an Ibanez so the Donner DST 550 can be used in most genres of music. The Donner DST 550 includes features such as locking machine heads, a two point tremolo system and 2 single coil pickups and a humbucker pickup with a coil tap switch.

Excellent review for beginness and advanced.I bought this guitar before watching the video. I can completely agree! Very good price/quality !!!
How would you say this stacks up to something like the new Ibanez AZ standard line from a dollar-value proposition, to longevity and QC,etc? Thanks for the review!
Excellent demo! Here's another review from a pro player. I'm 76. Been gigging since 1966. Still actively gigging. Most of my guitars are in the $1,500 to $3,500 range. My main goto is a USA Strat. Was about $2,600 in 2004. I won't go into how I ended up with one of these. But I will say this . . . I'm 100% amazed! Out of the box, I changed the stings to the gage I usually use on Strat style guitars. Ended up going just a little big heavier. Usually use 8 1/2 38 strings 08538. Moved up to 0940s. Adjusted the claw screws to loosen up the vibe bar a bit. I use the vibe bar a lot. Wanted it to float. – This guitar plays like a dream! Sounds outstanding through my usual gig rig. Looks great. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and haven't picked up any of my dozen+ other guitars.
Great guitar review, really informative about all aspects of the guitar, one of the best guitar reviews i’ve seen. Stunning guitar by the way, beautiful colour and unbelievable specs for the money so i’ve just ordered one ????
Thank you so much, i just bought this guitar, Your comments are very accurate, and the video helped me a lot to make the decision. Thanks again ????????????
How is the fret level?
Now I know why your fingernails are long. Beautiful finger picking.
Great no fuss or histrionics review, clear, factual and unbiased. Focus on the guitar not the reviewer. Playing samples really help to hear the tones the guitar not the player or the amp.
Hi. What's the fretboard radius? Is it 9.5"?
How can you make such a beautiful video bro. My gosh…. U r an inspiration for all those who have no idea of reviewing a product and still they keep on spitting useless words on YouTube. Hats off to you. God bless. Love from ????????India
Excellent
What material is the saddle
Excellent review thank you. All I have to do now is buy the only colour available which is blue or leave my email to be contacted when they have a white/cream model available.
That was one of the best informative reviews I have ever seen. Good work, and keep it up.
Is the neck as easy to play and fret as ,say, the best , easiest shredding and string bending Jackson , Kramer , ESP , Ibanez or equivalent superstrat? Ease of play is BIG for me
Just bought this haven't got it yet. Hope it arrives soon ????
I’ve been waiting for a good review of this guitar.
This was excellent,thank you
New sub
hi would you say it is pearl white or cream off yellow?
Donner has been coming up with some nifty instruments. Like Mogabi to Yamaha, LAG to Martin and SpaceX to Boeing. I quit paying for "Brand Names" decades ago. We sometimes take a chance but oft find diamonds from the roughest places. Why pay an extra $4000 for a brand name when an off Brand may even play better and have better quality? It's okay I never understood owning antiques either to look at on a shelf. Just something else to dust. Take the better instrument and with your savings sponsor or rescue a few dogs and cats.
Here is another thing I discovered on my journey. Call Martin or Fender and ask them what strings came on the guitar and they will say Brand Name and size. Call LAG or someone in Europe about their guitar strings and they only give the size. Just like stamping gas caps with BP or oil caps with Mobile. They are paid to tell you what to buy. GHS strings will NOT make you play like Gilmour.
Be well every one. Play Hard. Practice slow and easy. Slow is Smooth and Smooth is Fast.
Fret size? Tia.
Great review, this is a solid guitar for a beginner. From the locking tuners to the coil tap, ideal for starting tonal characteristics and basic playability. Might be a good travel buddy. ????????
