  • You really cannot demo a guitar if you are a totally one dimensional player. If you always use this amount of distortion all you are showing is how the electronics handle distortion. NOT how the guitar is actually voiced.

  • I bought the newer Eart semi-hollow, the offset one that looks more like an ESP Potbelly, instead of the 335 copy.

Amazon had it on sale for $325, and I had a gift card that still had $35 on it, so basically $290 + tax.

It plays really well, came out of box with pretty low action no fret buzz. I have lowered it slightly, to where the low E has oh-so slight amount of fret buzz. Very good string height. Roasted mahogany neck & body, the SS frets with the ball ends, alnico 2 pickups, 9.5 – 14" compound radius, neck is very slightly asymmetrical…thickest part of neck is under the D string, not between the D and G.

My only gripe is playing it hard, the strings dont quite stay in tune. I believe the nut is cut correctly, there is no pinging at all at the nut. I'm thinking it may be the no-name tuners. Thinking of getting a set of locking tuners for it.

  • Stainless steel frets on that price range is an amazing thing, it would be perfect if it had locking tuners and maybe a tusq nut, but at that price range I can't complain at all lol

  • Hey im thinking of buying a Jackson Js22 as my firs guitar and a boss katana mini as my first amp i dont really see a lot of good videos on them and im interested how they siund out of the box. If any of yall know anything about that guitar and amp please feel free to give me some tips or whatever. My budget is probboly 350-400 euros.

  • I bought one on Amazon about four years ago and returned it because the high Eastern kept getting stuck underneath the frets because they weren’t sat right

  • Note the $800 cab, $600 head and the $450 guitar and the awesome tone. That's the correct dollar proportions.

I just boxed up my Marshall DSL head as I just cannot get it to sound very good. Ready to sell it off in frustration.

Taylor, what would you recommend for my DSL ….. a strictly premium (Baltic Birch) cab ? With what speakers ? Does the DSL jive with brighter, passive pickups ? A certain Overdrive ?

  • Eart's are dope but i need another strat shaped duel humbucker guitar like i need a 2nd hole in my butt. Rad guitar anyway

  • Taylor try a Soloking guitar from Reverb…. I have not but man do they look loaded with good features

  • It is interesting to note that a lot of string muting techniques were likely invented as a result of lower output pickups and a lack of noise gating.

  • This Chinese brand aint no joke, they fret works quality is perfect from the factory, the cheapest model are great fretwork too.

  • Haha awesome work with the thumbnail! Smiling on the youtube homepage, questioning on the thumbnail once you open the video 😀

  • Have you ever heard about Donner? I was thinking to get myself the Donner DT100 as a beginner guitar

  • I remember when this channel was only a few hundred subs. Happy to see the growth over the years.

  • This particular guitar could be great for a Tribulation or Ghost style sound because the pickups aren't as high output as active pickups or something like a Duncan Invader

  • Try a Spira guitar, thats the best cheap guitar on the market, I think it's close to expensive brands in level of quality for like 1/4th of the price. it really suprised me, feels like on par with my solars in quality, which is wild for the price

  • Hey man I was actually looking at a JVM, but it would obviously be a lot cheaper to just get a DSL. Do you think that DSL would be enough? Or would I just be craving more. Just blew 2k on Alexi's signature guitar and the JVM is his signature amp, but if I can get his tone with a DSL, that would save me like $1200 lol.

  • I got an early explorer when it first came out and it was an amazing guitar felt way more expensive than it was sold it for the cash but would recommend it to anyone

  • 11:11 you could get one of those contour gauge things for showing the neck shape. I think The Troglie Show uses one. At least he used to; I haven’t watched him in a while

  • I had an Eart Headless Strandberg knockoff. I really regret selling it. VERY nice for the price. Hell they could have charged double what I paid.
