  • hey i was wondering if you can give your input on a decision i’m having trouble make i really want an orangewood guitar bc i like how they run their business and i can see from their videos that they take care of the guitars before shipping them out and im torn between the oliver and the brooklyn bc i love the spruce top with rosewood sides combo but the mahogany also sounds really nice and was wondering what you would personally choose disregarding price

  • Took a gamble and ordered this guitar… was already looking at ordering another model if this one went well but when I received my Brooklyn, the neck and headstock were twisted and the nut was sanded to fit the twist. Bizarre. Not sure how this passed inspection or the “professional” setup… needless to say I sent it back. No more orange wood for me. The response I got was, “but does it affect playability?” Lol

  • Bonjour où peut-on trouver cette marque de Guitare en France s’il vous plaît ? Cordialement

  • Helpful demo for sure! I like that you play both with fingers and pick – as a fingerstyle only person that really helps, and many reviewers neglect to put the pick down. I've got my eye on the no-pickup version of this (piezos sound awful, always), and you sold me! Fantastic guitar to look at, sounds really good, and seems to be solidly built. I like the size too. Not every guitar has to be a dreadnaught! The only people that need those are bluegrassers! It's weird how that size has become the standard over the years. The GC is much more comfortable to play and more versatile, especially with fingers. Thanks!

  • I bought an Echo Live over a year ago and I must say it is my favorite player. I have a Martin HD28 and several very fine Yairi guitars, but the one I play the most is the Orangewood. I'd like to have the Brooklyn, too. But, I wonder if the nut width is the same? The Echo is has just a slightly wider nut than other acoustics I own.

  • They must have changed the necks to a matte finish nice. I’m looking at either the Martin 000-x2e or the Orangewood Brooklyn Torrefied. I have an Orangewood Manhattan and it’s fine but the neck is kinda thick for my hands but I don’t know if it because I’m only 8 months into learning guitar too. The only chord I’m having issues with is the F chord. And that would be why I got the Martin is the shorter scale and the Performing g artist neck profile with a performing artist taper. Idk.

  • Great review and great playing! I am thinking about getting the torrefied version of this one with electronics. It’ll be my first solid top. I am worried about the neck thickness and the long scale but I have their Manhattan dreadnought currently with the same neck profile and scale lengths I think I’m going to have to get used to it.

  • I purchased a Brooklyn Jr.Live for Christmas because all the xlnt reviews. I could not have been more disappointed because the guitar sounded dull and would not sustain. I asked myself if I was hearing a cardboard guitar!! And the action hurt my fingers. I have at least 15 guitars both electric and acoustic so I can give an honest and impartial review.
I was so disappointed in the performance of this guitar that I've already sent it back. They charged a $15 restocking fee, but that's fine. Maybe I got one made on a Monday?? Who knows, but Orangewood claims each guitar is set up in Los Angelas? Even if they would have sent me a freebie, my review would not change. Oh, and the guitar was very pretty to look at, but…

  • LOL. I immediately rushed off to orangewood website to buy one and can see it's sold out. The guitar truly sounds great.

  • Weird specific question addressed to anyone who can answer. How is the action on this model or other orange woods? My current has very high action which i hate and i played a guild today at my guitar store with action equal to or lower than an electric which I didn’t like being quite that low.

  • I ordered and was disappointed only because of the “bear paw”marks on the top. Has anyone else seen this or dislike this

  • Love Orangewood. I have a Morgan Sitka Live on it’s way. Don’t even know how to play yet. Your electronics are even same as mine. Glad I found you. Will be watching … Thanks

  • I just ordered the Brooklyn Jr. because I have a Gibson J-45 which is a big guitar!!! I opted for this guitar because of the smaller size, and shorter scale length.
The Gibson's scale length is 24.75, and believe me, it is MUCH easier than 25.5 scale length guitars!!! I can't wait to get my hands on my new Orangewood. I've been wanting a smaller guitar to keep handy at all times near my sofa, bed, etc.
I paid roughly 3k for the Gibson!!!!
Orangewood Brooklyn— a tad over $400.
    Hurry Santa!!!!

  • Got a Brooklyn Live Limited Edition back in April and love it so much I'm saving to purchase a second Orangewood guitar. ✌️????

  • I have the regular Brooklyn that's not live and the back of the neck is glossy. I was just wondering why the Brooklyn live in this video has a satin-finish neck. I also have the Mason Live and it has a glossy neck. I'm wondering if maybe they forgot to gloss the back of the neck on this particular guitar you're playing on the video. ????

  • Got a lefty Morgan a few weeks ago….I play electric mostly…never could bond with acoustic…even sold my nice Martin a few years ago. I've bought/sold many guitars in the last 10 years…THIS is the best value and the most enjoyment I've derived from a guitar purchase….with 10% discount…$254. It is superb in EVERY way…looks, tone, balance, set up, intonation, resonance, quality of build. AMAZING value!!!!! I'd next like a Sage in lefty… Nice vid…did the guitar justice!!
