I CAN’T Believe How Easy It Was To Build This Amp Stand

????I had some extra wood in my garage and a image of my mind what I wanted to build. With no carpentry skills, I built this Amp Stand relatively easy. And, all in FOR LESS THAN $100 U.S.
????There are no real plans, but I show you how can spit ball it and still accomplish something great. Let me know if you have ever undertaken a project with just a vision in mind.
????Let us know in the comment section what you might have done differently. Check out some cool dudes @TexasToastGuitars (mentioned in video, and probablt would not appori enod my carpentry skills????)

Also check out the sublte name drop @2Yards for some cool music videos

About Searching For Tone:
I’m Brian Lena a retired New York City Firefighter, and music enthusiast. I love helping people learn things that may seem difficult instructing beginner and veteran firefighters for 15 years. I’d like to bring that into the guitar community, and help us all get better. I myself am what I refer to as an “old beginner,” picking up the guitar again after decades of on/off playing. On the channel you can find tutorials on techniques, tips, and tricks. There are reviews/demos of guitars, amps, mics, pedals, learning platforms, accessories, and more.

Everything you’ve wanted to learn about playing can be found right here on this channel!

I try to respond to your comments & questions as quick as possible????

  • ???????????? as SOON as you lifted that beast it reminded me of this huge 1st edition 5150 combo amp that sits in my living room it is a beast too !! I think when my son shipped it it weight 90 or more lbs . We used it ONCE. At a concert and never again it’s just a home screamer ..

  • I really need to make a better stand for my Katana Artist. I just made a rolling flat cart out of 2×4's and swivel casters. I want to put my small practice amp on top . tilt back is the way to go with combo amps and closer to ear level for the smaller amp would be perfect. You need to make a work bench to save your back or get a table saw, my friend! Nice work so far!

  • No box to drop. Only slightly disappointed, but the questionable safety precautions made up for it! ???? Looks really good, actually.

  • Where on earth did ya find that manican head/busk mate ????? I've been trying to find one for meself, so I can put me Jason Voorhees hockey mask on it. Well, I guess that worked out just fine, brother Brian. Nicely planned out and executed on yer behalf, mate. Now ya've just got to stain the wood grain so that it doesn't look so damn plain, Jane, lol ????. Overall, it's a gorgeous amp stand, and it's hand built from scratch. Awesome job, brother Brian ????, but ya need to start working out because yer getting weak, lol ????. I was watching ya struggle to pick up that amplifier and thought to meself… WTF, lol ????. Sorry mate, I don't mean to laugh at ya, but that was kinda hilarious to watch, ????. Get yer arse to the gym, mate! Thanks for sharing yer new amp stand, brother Brian, and until next time… Stay safe, Stay metal, and don't forget to Riff.?! Getcha Pull <3 ????????????????Sending me best wishes from Northern Vermont ✨️ ???? mate.

  • Nicely done! I too am guilty of PPE violations (and I'm too cheap to buy proper saw horses)….really should look into that before I injure myself! The only project we ever did (about 20 years ago) was build bunk beds for the kids. They turned out OK and the kids loved them, but the end result was not quite as finished looking as yours. Loved the callout to 2Yards also!

  • Use a "Screen Mold" to finish exposed plywood edges. It's a budget friendly way for a better finished look.????❤

  • Use your Gorilla Cart as a work table, I have one too but I live in TEXAS so mines BIGGER.????❤

  • Great job! I wish I could free flow projects like that. You made it look easy. If I had done that it would have been level at the end. You've pointed out the safety stuff. I am known for not always using mine as well, lol. Drives my wife crazy. Thank you for sharing.

  • Looks good. Anyone could make that with basic tools and an amp to plan the project around.

I was at Texas Toast Guitars during the wildfires in Oct 2020. Lots of firefighters shared the plane with me. Thanks for your service as a firefighter.
