Red Hot Chili Peppers – Can’t Stop (Pedals and Settings)

In this video I’ll show you how I got this great Frusciante tone in my Can’t Stop video: https://youtu.be/PROTzkVCjhA

Instead of using the MXR Micro Amp, EHX Big Muff and the Boss CE-1 I used the JFX Empyrean! It’s basically a Fuzz Factory, a Fuzzrite, a Big Muff, a Micro Amp and a CE-1 preamp in one pedal!

Please like and subscribe so you won’t miss a new RHCP video!

  • Quick question: Can i have your gear? ????????

All seriousness, I'm more of a Niandra fan. I'd love to see someone break down Untitled 6.
I know untitled 7 is really how it was recorded, but he sped it up a click and that's what gives it that unique presense. Thanks

  • Thank you for your hard work, your gear cover videos are amazing! Can I ask how your guitar is plugged into silver jubilee in isolation 1:58? I tried to do the same settings with softube jubilee plugin and no pedals but my sound stays so crappy not even close to your isolated jubilee sound

  • Do you know any songs/live performances that John used the Fuzz Factory? I know that he used it on “Water” and on the Slane Castle intro, but I’m curious if he used it on other contexts

  • Can the JFX chorus replace the CE-1 ? Unfortunately it is impossible to find one these days… thanks and I hope to see other videos like this one ????

  • If the empyrean had a handle I would wear it like a bag and take it everywhere I go ????

  • So Frusciante didn’t use a separate pedal from what you showed before your set up right? Did he adjust the chorus pedal then?

  • Good job man. Really inspiring…!
If one day you show us how to make sounding the Venice Queen slane castle's looping at the begining… I'll send you an ice Cream by Post

  • I have kind of a special request, would you have fun looking into "I Make My Own Rules" by Flea, Dave Navarro and Chad Smith? I know its not really a RHCP Song, but man.. such a funky & aggressive bassline, complemented by Daves guitar playing, which is always awesome! Not to forget Chad Smith who absolutely smashes the drums as usual!

  • You nailed it brother.
My only critique is that you may have the reverb on the wrong side in stereo.
It sounds like it’s on the right but should be on the left.
Then again I could be wrong and it’s really no big deal, but since you’re on the verge of perfection, I thought I’d share ????.

  • Been thinking about getting an Empryean pedal for a long while… in your opinion, is it worth the price tag?

I already have a ce-1 (Past Fx clone) for the preamp so I won’t get use there but none of the other 4 pedals.

P.S. please continue making a pedals and settings video for each cover!
