I'm salivating over this guitar and I watch any and all videos featuring the CG-TA. I want it so much and am looking everywhere for stockists. I've played electric for several years after having played acoustic most of my playing life and I'm so keen to return to acoustic fully and make it 'mine'. I love the sound and feel of a good nylon string acoustic and the simplicity of being able to pick it up anywhere and anytime. Congratulations to Yamaha's engineers in creating this incredible and extremely accessible technology.
Michael playing this Cg Ta ( quite beautifully), has convinced me to go for the Nylon over a Steel String, the steel string TA's are lovely sounding and with Chorus are amazing especially open Chords but narrow Fretboard, so playability is a bit more hampered, as a predominantly Classical/Nylon player, this is the one for me.
Can you play all types of music with this. I love all types of music.

The Yamaha CG-TA cost 829$ CAD on Amazon so it is not cheap guitar folks.Wait when price go down those effects are great but it is not very important. Yamaha should reduce this price i think it is overpriced just saying.

I usually find nylon guitars dull but this is magic.
Something I've thought about/wished for, for decades, but had given up on as probably impossible. Seems like it has now been invented! I really wish I could try one of these, but nowhere [North UK] I've tried seems to stock them as yet. I hope they are not a short-lived novelty like the Variax acoustic or Strat VG. Maybe this technology could now be offered in other new [Yamaha?] acoustics coming onto the market. I really hope it takes off and intend to support it [buy one!] as soon as I can see/experience the real thing.
Too bad he doesn't demonstrate it without that microphone . What is actually coming out of those pick ups ?
That's is amazing. Beautiful sound unplugged. This makes a bigger difference on this nylon string compared to the steel string trans-acoustic.
Very nice guitar, and very nice playing. Not like this awkward "boy how do I play a nylon string guitar" feeling that some steelstring-oriented reviewers have now and then 😉
