500 watts with a 4 ohm cabinet . 8 ohm cabinet about half. You weould need two 8 ohm cabs for a full load of 4 ohms which would in turn give you 500 Watts
With eq set flat, does the OBT500 have a flat frequecy response or is there a baked-in mid scoop?
I read comments on forums that suggest the tone is mushy and gets lost in a mix. My thinking is, well, maybe that's the case at high gain settings. Then one naturally wonders whether the amp has enough headroom to stay clean enough to cut through.
Any thoughts?

You can use regular Jack's with speakon
$800 for a killer bass amp with a tube preamp, built-in D.I., and an effects loop. Awesome. I just wish that they would have taken it a step further and made it two channels, and footswitchable. But, no complaints. I would be proud to own one.
Anybody know of the fans in these new models are quieter than the original, which was kind of noisy?

It was between the Microtubes 500 and this Orange Terror Bass 500 for me. Glad I went with the Orange. The sound is thick as fuuuuuck
What did you do with the amp when you were done with it? ????
Just one question : can you play at low volume with this type of head? With this Bass Terror, output 8 ohm which developt "only" 250 Watts. It's good for reasonnable volume?
That demo song was badass man!
Let's hope they keep making replacement transformers for this model. A friend of mine had an older one. Transformer blew straight out of warranty. Don't make it, can't replace it, paperweight.

I Want One of These. Only thing I'm not pumped about is the cabs they got for them. I know one could go with a 4×10, but 1×12? What would have been cool is a 3×10 cab.

Most bass amps that have speakon out use those speakon / 1/4" jack combo sockets. Have you tried plugging in a normal jack cable? EDIT: I just read that you responded to that exact question already. Kind of weird why they don't use those on this amp. They are the same size and have the same amount of solder points to connect. They aren't even really more expensive.
Looking for new rate or roast… is it private?
I like the size of it. It reminds me of the Tiny Terror rather than the Micro Terror they have now. The only thing that stopped me from getting the micro terror is how comically small it is lol.
