  • Bluegrass with Friends I have a Thomas & George Martin 5 String Upright Bass. Thomas & George Martin cleverly solved the playability problem by tweaking the setup. The Low B String allowed me to get some lower notes & man it's a "Boomer" of a Bass.

  • I appreciate all your videos, always something new to learn.
Do you have or can you make a “basic video on how to do the Major chords” ABCDEFG
Much like a new or occasional base player mode play at a slow group jam.

  • I am in love! You are THE MAN I have been looking for! I just want to play my cheap ol bass and enjoy the music. That is what it is all about – not the scales, not the technique, the getting in there and doing it especially as an older adult. I dont have much time left to go through all the Essential Strings bass books. Music enrollment has fallen drastically and consistently in the education world yet they continue to teach the same way/thing and expect different results for all age groups. Bless you and I am waiting for you next video and others! THANKS!

  • I've been considering messing around with a stand up bass and I love how this video just really simply
shows whats involved if you are like me and really don't even know what its like to play one. I love your video description haha and how you dont care about showing the "proper" way to do it. Im here to have fun with bluegrass music and your attitude is exactly what i was looking for! Sometimes its just about what works and im glad to have found that.
