  • So cool to hear an interview that doesn't regurgitate the same fawning questions – this was thoughtful, interesting, and real and I'm so happy to hear Paul a little bit on his heels and unable to "take control" of a conversation. I like this Paul a lot.

  • What an absolutely fantastic interview! Anna did an amazing job asking novel questions, mixing in topics outside of guitar making or music, and bringing out so much of Paul's excitement. Absolute gem of a conversation!

  • I get the significance of Carlos Santana to PRS guitars, but can't help think Paul overestimates (or maybe exaggerates) his impact / significance as a musician. I once heard him say Carlos is a household name…. what ? Maybe it's just me but I don't think so. YMMV

  • This was such a lovely interview with Paul, one of the best I’ve heard from him telling this story. I was there at the PRS event and hearing him talk about behind that 40th event was fascinating. The orianthi gifting that Blooming lotus was totally a passing torch moment, Daniela is not gonna forget that ever her reaction was a highlight ???? her playing and singing was also awesome that night! It’s really wonderful to see this shift with supporting girls/women in the ways he has and hearing about his favorite players. The comparisons of the two guitars were pretty close and the satin finish is really great on those Velas. Bird stories appreciated, love the blue jays in my neighborhood. ???? ????

  • I know my next PRS guitar will be that very same model (the S2 standard 22 satin) in dark blue… One day I'll have it.

  • How many people would demo how close their mid-line guitar is to their top of the line? Kudos to you Paul

  • Certainly among the better interviews with Paul I’ve heard. Music AND the man. Great job Anna! Paul can steer conversations when he wants, but the range of questions has him more like he was just talking with a friend, and it was enjoyable to hear. I’ve been playing PRS for 20 years now, and still discovering the brand. I just traded for a 2019 Special Semihollow LE, and it’s taken over my #1 spot. Fantastic instrument. Happy 40th, PRS!
