  • I've had this pedal on my guitar pedalboard for years and have never liked it much. It's now on my bass board.

  • today's youtube bass players would blow most guitar heroes from the nu metal era out of the water (and i'm a fan of nu metal)

  • did anyone notice how GOOD some Joyo pedals are for bass? The california is my favourite and the blend control is really cool, reminds me of the alpha omicron in is function

  • Perfect. Just got a bass and a laney RB4 amp for CHEAP, pick only playing for me, and this persuaded me that the Joyo is ideal really. And CHEAP (yes, I am cheap as I am a cheap bast•d)

  • 1. I have played bass in many bands even though i have been a guitarist for a million years.I have my stash of guitar pedals but I have bene shopping around for a good bass pedal. You just made me get this one ; ) I have the same exact bass. I love that thing. Plays jazz, to rock, to dreampop, to reggae and it thumps so well. Keep up the good work! And thanks for the amazon link.

  • Thanks for the great video! Great pedal. I have it for bass. Also, Joyo makes another winner in the American Sound, which is essentially a clone of the Tech 21 Blonde. It's also great for bass which is how I use it. It sounds like a Fender Bassman with tone for days and a very versatile eq and a warm overdrive without losing low end. Great pedals at bargain prices. Simply great prices for well-performing pedals.

  • There are multiple evolutions of the OCD pedal and do have very slight variations in how they sound.
The Joyo version sounds great though.

    Great video
    Keep up the good work.

  • Once in a while I get tempted to replace mine with the original OCD Fulltone (v1 for bass boost) but instead I just come watch this video and I'm instantly happy with what I already own and I save a bunch of money 😛

  • It sounds cool. Would it be good to play things like Nirvana? I have a jazz bass and a a fender rumble 40 dont know if this helps. Im a begginer and i don't know much about this kind of things

  • This and the Russian Muff are the only pedals I use regularly for both bass and guitar. Didn't pay much for either one.

  • One error in your graphics. Joyo Classic.Crunch is not a clone of a BOSS DS-1, it's a clone of an MI Crunch Box.

  • Wondering how this would work for a Cliff Burton tone alongside a cheaper wah wah. It sucks living in Australia where a peddle that's supposed to be like 25-30 bucks for most people like a Boss DS-1 or Metal Zone ends up being 60-80 dollars.

  • Was wondering about amp settings.. I have this pedal and tho it sounds great for the price in its own right through my rig it sounds nothing like this! Would love some tips on how you get such a beautiful clean tone

  • I bought it a couple of years ago just to try it with my bass… Usually I use a Sansamp…This pedal sounds killer for the price snd I keep it just to play at home.

  • Thank you for recommending this pedal. Mine arrived yesterday from China for $25. It sounds very close to "The Tone" I'm looking for.

  • I went to this show and an Italian rock band was playing; the guy didn't speak much English but I pointed to this pedal on his board and we both just grinned

  • Really appreciate the fingerstyle section! There are a lot of great gear demos for overdrives but not a lot for fingerstyle players.
