  • Been thinking about getting this but Mk 3 or the Fender Mustang GTX 50 or 100. What would you recommend? I really like that the Mustang has a built in screen because I don't really want to spend too much time on my phone when playing guitar, but I have heard that it is not good enough for gigging, not that I have ever gigged. But some people say that the Mustang is amazing. Most people say that thr Katama is fantastic too, but to get the fine tuned sounds I would have to use the app, no? What do you think?

  • The new mk3 is 300€, I'd rather get a harley-benton hb-80r and a mooer ge150 pro, only 40€ more than the katana but the hb-80r has a celestion and the mooer ge150 pro just sounds so good even by itself, I just played around making tones for 3 hours because it sounds so good, also it is one of the only multifx/modellers fpr under 200€ that has 4 preset buttons instead of just 2.

  • I have the 50 gen3
I just found something called the Airstep pedal you may be able to make use of one of the BOSS pedals with the mk2 I'm not sure. I like to go through the POD Express. Goodbye!? What an abrupt sign off! I love my gen3 too! I had an earlier 100 but I thought I wanted to go back to a tube amp. How wrong I was!????

  • I know this comment is a little late but how do you get the sound from the pedals to come from the amp when I plug my ds-1 into it, it doesn’t change anything

  • Do you ever get that annoying sound when you Put Brown and all the way boost ? Even if you have noise gate pedal
    I also have the MK2 100

  • Hey Luke, what's up? (Okay, it's too early on a Sunday morning to start with bad jokes) …Anyhoo, I've owned and used and gigged with tube amps for so many years I can't live without 'em. The last SS amp I remember owning was a 100 watt Marshall combo back in 1990 though it sounded like shit. Recently among all the tube heads and combos I have I purchased the Boss Katana and I swear it sounds just like a tube amp. You might notice the diff but with your eyes wide shut I don't think you can tell the diff between a tube combo, a Boss Katana or an E-meter in a Scientology "tell us your secrets" session.
