EPIPHONE ARE ON DRUGS…

Guitars of the Day! Epiphone are on a roll with yet another highly-requested collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop that fans have waited well over a decade for: the Jimi Hendrix “Love Drops” Flying V. Iconic psychedelic graphics, and it’s also the very first “Inspired by Gibson Custom” signature to drop in both left and right-handed at launch! ????

  • it’s funny cause they announced this the day after i saw the real thing at the rock and roll hall of fame

  • I played one and while cool, def not for me but it’s awesome that they’re offering left handed ones

  • The fact that Hendrix gifted this gibson v guitar to Mick Cox, who is kind of a nobody, imo and then Mick painted over Hendrix original hand painting blows my mind. Alive or dead, its a one of a kind hand painted guitar by Jimi Hendrix, and I would never in my wildest dreams think to paint over it. I wouldve kept the paint scheme and played the hell out of the guitar lol. Similar to Jackie Lomax receiving Clapton's "The Fool" sg. He kept the psychedelic paint scheme and played it.

  • Why use nylon saddles when you could use a roller bridge? I swapped my vibrola equipped SG bridge for a roller one, ZERO tuning stability problems.

  • Looks great but these things play just like any 400 $ epiphone epiphone should try to make their guitars better BEFORE they make them more expensive

  • Funnily enough the light blue color of the case is used in Soviet era jet aircraft to make a calming effect on the pilots. So you’re not wrong about the case.

  • You have the same voice than the guy from the Trogly show on youtube. Except that he deals with expensive guitars and you're talking about laurel fingerboards guitars.

  • I had one of these come in my shop for a proper set up. Being the more expensive tier of epiphone, my expectations are on par with the price… I’m a sucker for detail. So I was disappointed to see this ‘pro paint job’ isn’t pro at all. Look at where the paint meets the pick guard for an example. While I understand the reach for posterity, the bridge is awful. Hard to intimate and achieve long lasting stability. And at this price point… cmon epiphone, use some friggin rosewood already.
Otherwise, pickups sound good and it feels alright. Actually, it feels better than the Gibson custom V I worked on recently.

  • This dude and Trogly better be getting paid serious bucks by Gibson. They are their best advertisers. I wouldn’t know anything about all of these new models and stuff if it wasn’t for these two.

  • Made in China, wow. At that price this is unacceptable. At least have it made in Korea and at worst Indonesia.

  • Epiphone *has, not Epiphone "have."

Epiphone = A company. An "it." Singular. A thing.

The "people" of Epiphone HAVE created — correct.

    Epiphone have created — incorrect.

Sorry, former news and radio copy writer and this one drives me nuts.

Now, regarding the guitar: Badass, except the laurel fingerboard. Laurel doesn't belong on a $1400 guitar

  • Gibson needs to come back with that flying V in the faded red color. That was a hell of a deal and it was made in the USA.
