I love how hard they're both trying, especially Rabea, to make it sound like they like it when they clearly aren't really fans ????
The Fryette Pitbull Ultralead module is actually very flexible. Yes, the two channels are identical. But you can use the green one as a crunch rhythm channel with less gain and the red channel with higher gain settings as lead channel with additional graphic eq.
I always wanted a small pitubll 3 channel head and the Synergy 20IR is the perfect amp with the ultralead module.
I just had a fun thought. Maybe get Rabea and Sophie Burell over there to jam together.
I absolutely love the Synergy amps. The new Tone King Imperial is incredible. I hope they make a Royalist module soon as well.
this fucing editing is gold. idk how you are the best salesmen and shitposters but I applaud you both
25:45 I make the Burns cases for Synergy Amps, I got into Synergy Amps after being forced to let go of my VHT Pittbull Ultralead 120 GEC I used for over a decade. I love the silent sound floor of Fryette
Lovely video as always. I would urge you to read the one-sheet manuals for the individual modules, though. Some modules' channels are voiced differently, some of them are identical. I know the BMAN's channels are different, the lower channel has less gain on tap and it's a little better suited for crystal cleans compared to the top channel.
The Tone King clean even on the Imperial and Sky King same amp but 6L6. It breaks up a good bit around 3-4 on both amps, depending on pickup output. I’ve owned both, and kept the Sky King for live and the higher wattage beefier room tones. But my favorite part of the amp, is riding up to the breakup. At lower volumes bass controls breakup, and at higher volume can roll the bass back to 3, and the volume will bring the bass back up, then adjust as needed.
In this demo the clean just seem to be full clean, didn’t hear much edge of breakup. Even so far up on volume very surprised it was still clean. Great clean channel, but doesn’t sound like the amp breakup you get on the real ones. However, that could be a perk for some that like it, but just use pedals for dirt.
Killer Kali and the Bassman. The rest I'd get tired of pretty quick
editor still needs a raise in pay…. thanks lads.
Fryette was named VHT earlier. I have a ca. 1999 VHT Pittbull. A short period there was some chinese VHTs, but I think Fryette had starting using his own name on his amps then, and nothing to do with the chinese amps.
In a world where software amps ( or devices like a quad cortex) that give you total flexibility and great tone, not sure I would ever buy something like this. But if you’d like straight up hardware amps, it’s an interesting concept. The BM module sounded too brittle. Unfortunately, to me this synergy demo didn’t sound very warm and round like a tube amp should.
Wow! Won’t be watching an Anderton’s video again. You might want to know the product before trying to sell it. Rabea is an amazing player. His videos are actually educational.
Some of their modules seem kinda silly like the 6505 module when the module itself cost about the same as the 6505mh
Rabea its been a while, great to see you again, always awesome!
The gasp lol
Stephen Fryette's company was VHT. Stone Temple pilots and many other bands used his gear in the 90s and 2000s. He sold the VHT brand and now makes his gear under his own name including the Pitbull amp. Surprised Anderton's are unaware of this..
I have to admit it gets frustrating how in a lot of these videos, if lee or pete are demoing a gainy amp, it’s always wrongly assumed that metal players want to hear “all the gain” or even want it when playing. good metal tones are always way less gained than I ever hear in these videos, and as a rule the amps are always made with far more gain than anyone will ever need. we need a designated member of the crew to help lee understand what an actual usable metal tone is, I love rabea but he kinda just takes a backseat in these videos.
You guys have the IRs engaged btw. I made the same mistake when I first played through a can with the SYN 20. Gotta disable them.
I loved this so much. Any body else got Gilmour vibes from the Base Man modoul?
Thanks for trying the Fryette

2:17 Not only lockdown. The war too.
Have to say rebeas comment on no lead / shred in vower made me sad????
5 seconds in, and Lee pulls the stank face at Rabea's riffage. Classic.
???? Another good one
For me, personally, these modules sit in a weird spot of the market.
I'd rather go all in and/or all out instead.
If I really like an amp, I'd rather buy it or, on the other extreme, use a Quad Cortex, or a combination of the two.
Technically, the modules make sense. But they take away everything I like about actual amps.
RGB just makes PCs go faster and guitar tone better 😛
Page Hamilton uses Fryette Pitbulls
I play in a traditional jazz band, and i feel the pitbull just hasn't got enough gain for me… jokes aside, the amps sound amazing, tone king probably my favourite. the only thing, the tones available are through the rood, as you can DI and choose so many IR's to taste and mix with the real cab tone. I'm a rectifier tone lover with my own real single rec, but i feel the Synergy's module sounded great and likely more reliable and usable in this format.
Lee's face at 0:05 is the look of a Dad
Rabea remembers LA Gear's LA Lights. Amazing!
They all sound awesome
Bea needs to be a mainstay on the channel. Absolutely a beast of a player and super f’n inspiring.
21:27 – 21:30 sick tone!
That Texas Tea calls to me
Pretty sure that the Syn-1 is the most cost effective way into Synergy ????
