  • Just got one of these. It's by far better than the Katana which I also own. It's crisper, warmer and more natural sounding (to me). I'll probs be offloading my Kat now and keeping the Laney

  • I used a couple of Lab Series L5's a million years ago and it is analog and very good.

  • Lee, your playing has experienced a renaissance. I dig your tasteful solos. You know your improvement inspires other players to push forward. Cheers.

  • Would the LF60-112 be just as effective in a live setting as a LFSUPER60-112 or LFSUPER60-212? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but aside from extra size, speaker, effects and price, are all 3 amps basically the same? I'm keen to purchase one for gigs and, at this stage, the LF60-112 appears to make sense if it's easier to carry around, just as loud and as rich in tone. But I feel there's something I'm not understanding.

  • I have a tube Lionheart amp that I have used live for years! it ended up being my fave!!! I dont play live now but recently bought the Lionheart loudpedal!!! to put it short, could tell that much of a difference to make any fuss 🙂 so close!! Laney should get more attention! everyone is busy buying the stuff that trys to do 100 things!!! Laney just makes simple stuff that works!!!! as for the loud pedal, I have to keep telling myself its not valve 🙂 I dont know what they put into their products?? but you get the sound and feel

  • Yep, I‘m buying a Lionheart Foundry Super 1-12 for home practice and maybe even solo gigging (instead of a modeler plus EV 30 M or Everse 8 speaker). Really wanted a small tube amp for that purpose, but for mostly clean sounds (plus occasional crunch) on solo covers (pop, rock, R&B, etc.), it‘s really tough to find an affordable, all-tube amp that also has attenuation for home use. As for non-tube alternattives, I ruled out the Katana for various reasons, as well as the various Fender Tone Master modeling amps. Sure, I could just use my Fender Tone Master Pro pedal straight into the PA, but there‘s something great about having an amp to just switch on and play, instead of firing up the pedal and an active PA speaker or FRFR. Also, the Foundry Super makes it possible to play with no extra effects (or maybe just with my Chase Bliss Analog Brothers up front). I love the Super 1-12‘s ability to conjure up a Fender-esque tone, but with less harshness than a full-fledged Princeton 65 Reissue or whatever. All in all, the flexibility (and price!) of the Foundry make it highly attractive as an all-rounder. Not to mention the fact that there will never be any tubes to go bad and replace, no warm-up time needed, and lighter weight. I‘m sold. P.S. Forget to mention this: No displays and menus! And the ability to take the DI out straight to my PA if I ever want to – no outboard IR loader needed. Simplicity rules.

  • I'm wondering how these will compare to the old Session amps, they were some great solid state sounds. I'll find out when mine arrives 😉

  • Great amp for pedals, bought one on Friday from Anderson's, gigged it Saturday, faultless…go and buy one! Also..very light which is great for my back lol

  • These amps are not loud. And the gain channel is awful. The speaker is very average.I am sorry I purchased it.

  • Seems like it's not a very high gain amp! Do you think it can do 80s Van Halen, Zakk Wylde, Def Leppard gain tones? I consider that classic/vintage type gain!

  • didn't want to say it, so I won't single anyone out. Both of those guys are knowledgeable, but one of those guys has really bad technique despite his enthusiasm.

  • Just pulled the trigger on a Super 60 and eagerly awaiting its arrival. One small feature I may miss is the ability to plug into a separate cab at different ohm settings. My Marshall DSL40CR has it and it's ruined me. All the same, the reason for getting the Lionheart Foundry is to save my back and have either available as a backup, a 2nd rig for friends to play, or for a stereo setup. My 1st valve amp is my Laney VHR100 and it's amazing but just too loud, large, and a beast along with my Marshall 4×12 cab. These days that amp just looks pretty in the corner as a reminder of glory days past. Laney is super underrated and I'm hoping that stays true with this Foundry combo.

  • For a long time, I’ve been looking for an alternative to my tube amps. When I found out about this new range of Foundry Laney’s amps, I decided to buy the one in the middle of the range. I couldn’t be happier with it! Solid-state amps have come a long way to emulating tube amps. I tried many solid-state amps over the years and always returned to my tube amps. This is the first time I don’t feel the need to go back.

The 1-watt switch is another feature I needed to keep the neighbors happy and still enjoy playing at home. It is loud enough to play at small to medium venues and has a DI output if you need it. Also, there is no more heavy lifting.

If you like the sound and tones of British amps, don’t overthink; these are great, affordable amps that are not overpriced like other brands.
