The finesse funker shows the wide variety of sounds she can get with just five pedals and a wah that never goes off.
Reverb addict Mark Speer and badass bassist Laura Lee met with Premier Guitar’s John Bohlinger before their ultra-hip, sold-out show at Nashville’s Basement East. Speer and Lee took the crew through their non-conventional approach to nuevo-vintage tones.

Regarding all of the severe problems in the music industries, this is the only solution:
All types of intellectual property (IP) laws must be fully abolished immediately, in any and all jurisdictions worldwide. All IP laws are extremely unethical for humankind.
‘Against Intellectual Monopoly’ is the most informative book humanity has on the subject now. ‘Against Intellectual Property’ is another incredible essay, but it’s written with right-libertarian rhetoric so if you’re, like me, not right-libertarian you’ll have to read with an open mind and extract the essential info. Only these two texts are the gold standard when it comes to intellectual property.
She sounds like Japas from Zelda: Majora’s Mask
I am in love with
No, the headstock is different enough to avoid getting a Cease and Desist letter from Fender.
Beyond boring ????. Get her outta here , the music sucks big time !
It’s worth the limitation to look cool ! ????
Women go through a lot to look good no doubt and she does a fabulous job with looks and chops !
That NPC in the back is freaking me out
From playing a knock-off, to having her own signature J-bass. Greatness gets recognized.
Laura Lee is so f'n cool. "Lady and Man" is what she was playing, for those who didn't know
SX is made by Rondo Music. They make really great quality instruments at a fairly reasonable price. SX is one of their cheaper brands. I have an Agile guitar (also made by Rondo) and it's one of the best guitars I've ever played. It was around $450 new at the time and it plays better than guitars double or triple the price. I've had it for years and I'm still amazed at how well built that guitar is.
bla bla bla
No re: the ashtray, pup guard, and thumb rest. Rip them off 🙂
I totally love Laura’s bass playing style, it’s just so smooth and effortless. And this SX bass sounds amazing in her hands. Interesting interview it’s always nice knowing a little more about how everything works. I love Khruangbin music it’s unique and nobody sounds like them.
Khruangbin deserves every accolade you can give them. I’m a Country music guy and I cannot say enough good things about this band.
She's a brilliant bass player.
Simplicity on tour it the only way. You can replace parts easily when something goes wrong.
How does she look without wig?
She's so beautiful~ Reminds me of Bjork vespertin album
Gorgeous, reminds me of a lass i knew long ago..
Played through one of those amps in high school jazz band, mid '90s. Put those pickups into my Carvin. Awesome rig.
Shes wearing a wig, right?
Yeah don't ever forget the glitter, sounds great with that vocal fry ????
It's cool she's probably 5' 0"
It’s not for me, that’s ok.
I admit that pickup covers look great, but I can't stand them, and don't really understand how anyone can play with them
