  • Thanks to you I’m incorporating the shoegaze sound into my music. Just got Spotify and listening to Slowdive. Ya I’m late to the party. There’s an attitude to it.

  • Nice one as always! man I'm struggling with creating some decent vocal melodies that goes well with my instrument demos recently, but it is so frustrating seems like I don't know what I'm doing. I think you always make killer melodies, how can you do that??? any kind of advices would be appreciated sm????

  • 00:38 go listen to Parannoul – Beautiful World, it's emo/shoegaze entirely made with vst and it's incredible !!

  • Great video, subbed. On your first point about playing guitar – if you’re not familiar you should listen to parannoul. Great artist, found out they actually entirely use midi guitar/bass/drums in their music. Crazy but works really well in their context

  • Yoo another excellent video. Idea could the next video be programming shoegaze drums for beginners? To be clear I'm a beginner producer and intermediate guitarist.

  • Honest question: When playing alternative and/or indie rock in general including Dream Pop or Shoegaze, does it HAVE to be played with a Fender? Can I use other brands and types of guitar besides Fender? I’m trying to avoid Fender as much as I can lol

  • Thanks for the awesomeness. Great sound. (got a BL shirt, cool) – for the no instrument question, in Ableton there is a strum feature now, so technically one could get a guitar sound, use the transform/strum, add an amp sim and cab, apply effects chain, play a I, IV7, and maybe get a shoegaze sound thing.

  • For those of us who don't have guitar pedals or amplifiers, how can we achieve this using native Ableton plugins or third-party plugins like Guitar Rig, Neural DSP, or Universal Audio Guitar?
