This is how we were taught in music class, through songs. I ofc tried to find more songs that stuck with me. I was one of the probably 5 of us who could do it well. I know some songs I used were: “Lights” BTS, ~flints one’s~, Star Wars intro, “somewhere over the rainbow”, doorbell sound, etc
Good way for beginners to learn intervals, but just remember that this method won't help you with context of the interval. For example the tritone start of the Simpsons intro will feel different to a melody that's moving from a 4th to the 7th within a scale. Important to be aware of that once you're a bit more comfortable on these
Andrew you need to write a catchy hook with the tritone. The Simpsons can't have a monopoly on that interval. Also the major 6th, that's not really a hooky song
Nice!!! I do the same thing with relative tempo ranges. Recalling specific songs for moderate, allegro, allegretto, etc. never thought about doing the same thing for pitch intervals. Life saver!!!
PINK FLUFFY UNICORNS
if somewhere is gonna be on the list the tritone obviously has to be maria like cmon
Thank you Asian man
Another good one for minor third is the song oh Canada ❤
He looks like a mii
Minor 6 always gave me flashbacks to "Dance with the Devil" by immortal technique, I never missed that one in music theory lol.
????????

I have a question what does knowing this do? how do you apply it?

Perfect 4th could be the wild west
when i heard major 6th i immediately thought of DUET from omori!!!
This was such a beautiful video.
Bruh…you just saved my life????????
Minor ninths are killing in the name of by rage against the machine
I didn't think Star Wars with that perfect 5th. I thought Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Minor 2nd: intro to Baby Shark!
Avec la toute minuscule petite fille qui est trop mimi
Elle est trop mimi la petite fille trop mimi !
For some reason minor sixths are the easiest for me to recognize, easier than octaves even
Perfect 4 – Auld lang Syne
Major 6 – N B C
Minor 7 – Josie by Steely Dan
huge w

Would be super awesome to also have one with descending intervals 🙂
you forgot the singular hacking notes to the Psycho shower scene ????
I use the first two notes of The Legend of Zelda theme to remember a perfect fifth
Fun fact, this is something percussionists use to tune timpani. Once you have the drum tuned to one note, you go by intervals to make it easier!
Hahahah do u ever feel like a plastic bag..
can you do descending version? thx!!
damn we really have to know this just through hearing, im new to music
7th for me is skyrim!
Thank you
Why does bro sound like he has 104 days of summer vacation.
