  • Another cool video! For a one brand pedalboard I think I’d have to go with Earthquaker. The Warden, Hoof, Special Cranker, Life Pedal, Organizer, & Ghost Echo. That looper you used seemed really cool too. Thanks!

  • Man, I honestly love the idea of an afford-a-board style board with Pigtronix stuff but if I was going to stay in that price range I would just go with the GOAT, BOSS. I'd use the Waza Craft Tuner, the JB-2 into a DS-1 (classic), an FRV-1, a DD-5, a DD-6, a DD-8, and an RE-2 and run it all through an RC-600 and into an IR-2. Bam! Done. And hey, since Boss owns Roland (right? AM I making that up?) I would probably through a Roland GK-3 pickup in the mix and get some beep boop noises with a GR-20 (or a more modern equivalent) and run into a JC-40. BAM! Dream board!!

  • You sounded really good with that setup!

I’d have to go DOD/Digitech for a one-company board. A couple Carcosas (or maybe swap one for a Chthonic?), a 250, a Rubberneck, a Freq Out, a Whammy Ricochet, a Polara and an Obscura.

  • I have an attraction to Electro-Harmonix pedals. My choices would be a Big Muff Pi, Memory Man, Micro Pog, and Oceans 11. At least, that's where I'd want to start.

  • Whoa that constellator was super cool, the modulation sounds soooo good! I love how weird it can get, it can get gnarlier than I would have expected. I didn't realize how many cool mini pedals they had, I'll def have to check them out.

As for the end question I'd probably have to go with Death by Audio. I like how fun their pedals are to interact with, they can be so unruly lol. The Echo Dream is probably my favorite pedal in general and the Space Bender is similarly cool. I'd totally love to try an Apocalypse if I had the chance, it looks really fun to mess around with

  • as tempting as it is to say boss bc they have almost everything, i simply cannot live without my special cranker and avalanche run. so i have to go with earthquaker devices. nice jams Nelsen!

  • Hmm probably Old Blood Noise Endeavors. The Beam Splitter and the BL series are all cool sounding.

  • A mix of what I have now of boss, old blood noise and chase bliss. I just need a a pedal to trigger a sample of just “super sonic racing” and I’m good to go.

  • Great playing and fun video, Nelsen cracks me up.. what kind of guitar is that? … hard to pick 1 brand.. id get weird and go Rainger FX… mini bar / snare trap/ echo x / chop fuzzz

  • Awesome tones from such a simple board. Was admiring your guitar in the hiwatt video, what is it? I’d choose rainger fx I think. Snare trap drum machine, drone rainger, flanger-x, minibar and reverb-x.

  • I'm a guitarist on a budget and these Caline pedals have been working for me. I have their 10 band EQ pedal and their Python Compression pedal so far on my mixed board and they're both amazing. I'd have 1no issue adding their OD, Dist, Fuzz, Chorus and Delay from their G series. Caline is perfect

  • Is this the start of the Nelsen Saga? I really liked the song/demo you put together starting at around 10:00. Perfect blend of fuzzy and modulated. Very new wave/shoegaze of you. If I had to choose only one pedal maker for an entire board, it would probably be Earthquaker. They have everything you would need and it's all quality. Some of it is even in the "affordable" range, so they get bonus points. Hard to choose though.

  • If i was going for one builder exclusively, i'd probably go with Earthquakes designs. They've got a bit of everything! Y'all got Pigtronix growing on me too tho

  • With that said, I do love the alternative look at pedals, knowing not everyone is a blues dad. If it wasn't a Kingsley juggler on my pedalboard I'd probably dream of anything free. No hate but the boss ir-2 with my dr scientist the elements is I hope going to cure my gas for a while. We'll see!

  • Easy answer! Chase Bliss hands down. get the Reverse C, the gen loss/lossy, habit, blooper, and sandwich them between the automatones and you’d be able to make the weirdest sounds ever

  • Great video, and I love your playing, Nelsen. Especially in the HIWATT challenge video, your sounds were awesome. As far as building a board, I think I’d go with Strymon. I don’t have any from them, but love the sounds from the Flint, Brig, and Riverside. You can get some awesome ambient stuff from the first two, and the Riverside can get filthy if you need it to.

  • Hey, great video! I love Source Audio products, they are programmable and very versatile. I would only need four to make magic, Collider Delay/Reverb, EQ2 (equalizer), L.A. Lady Overdrive and the Atlas Compressor. The EQ2. And Collider are Mainstays on my board.

  • Nice! I can totally see the logic of going with Pigtronix- I got a Space Rip for much the same kind of logic- I was thinking "intro to synth pedals". Now, truth be told, I'd have a very hard time going with just one brand, but I think that has to do with using most of the "standard kinds" of pedals since the 1980's, so I have all kinds of preconceived notions about what a delay, or a flanger or whatever is "supposed to sound like". That said, for the mass market, which has its advantages, I'd go with Walrus Audio. I could get by with a Voyager for gain, ARP 87 for delay, Julia for modulation, and Fathom for reverb.

  • nelson is dope as fuck. Earthquaker is my choice, but theres probably 10 brands that are great and build nothing but heaters.

  • I love all of you at WCM, but Nelsen is always my favorite! Being a bassist if I had to use only one brand I think it would be Boss as overall they are good enough at what they do but I think there are better pedals from different manufacturers for each function I use (comp chorus delay reverb).
Speaking of bass, Wheres the bass vids? Yeah there are a lot of other channels for bass but I'd love to hear you all bring some bass stuff on every once in a while, and more Nelesn <3

  • I'd love a source audio pedalboard. C4 Synth, Kingmaker Fuzz, Luna Phaser/Chorus/Flanger, Ultrawave, Nemesis Delay, Vertigo Tremelo, Ventris Reverb. Does all the normal and weird sounds that would ever need.

  • Just one Brand? Hmm. Currently I have 4 Strymons so I guess that would be it? I like mixing different pedals from different companies so that’s a tough one.

  • Great vid! Excited to see more rig rundowns! That Infinity looper looks fun and pretty darn compact. Would probably have to go with Montreal Assembly for the board build. Good mix of dirt, weird delay, pitch, drone, and looping. Plus I love the minimal control labels.

  • I would pick walrus, I love the Lore, Fable and Slo plus they make amazing compression and drives
