What metal song would YOU learn first if you could start over? ????
Sorry but never liked Dio's music????
No idea, I picked Separate ways by Journey, learning the bass line on an acoustic guitar cause I don't have a bass
Bro. Your channel is too good! Well done.
Scream of the Butterfly by Acid Bath also has really good bassline
Bro. the switch from du hast to rainbow in the dark was epic! ????
No panic attack?
No Cannibal Corpse ? ????
Many of them are not standard tuning ????
Kind of hard to argue with this overall list. A great entry to metal overall.
Needs more Tool
Selling my guitar to buy a new esp bass! :3
If I could start over, I would learn "Hammer Smashed Face"
i recommend holy mountain by sleep too, real fun song
manowar are perfetc when you are just learning to play something for the first time
did NOT expect to see Anvil after some of the recs. OG as fuck band
GODSMACK is not metal they’re post grunge
Animal Magnetism is the greatest album cover of all time.
Black No. 1 was my first! ????????
would have added some RUSH songs although it might not fit in the traditional metal genre – but this video only goes to level 5 anyway 😉
lots of non metal songs
When you are putting up the next 50 to play?
I highly recommend Primo Victoria by Sabaton on level 1. There is some cover on it. Very easy to play alone and use only 2 4 5 7 and 0 frets, Plus it only use E and A strings.
The nod to Lemmy was great, all he played were power chords with a ton of distortion but made it sound amazing. ????????????
me recuerda a cuando empece a tocar el bajo Y_Y gracias hermano muy buen contenido, he estado viendo bastante el ultimo tiempo soy de Argentina 😀 un saludo
I'll be back, This video brings together many of my favourite tracks, even if there are some missing where the bass takes an even more imposing place, for example Monolord, Conan or Sleep and many others. Yes i'm a Stoner Doom bassist 😀
Do you consider Grudge from Tool level 10
I have the right bass for metal she's a a double weight almost. 11 lb Bubinga with wenge and rosewood, sounds evil and dark no matter what setting that you turn the knob, with some heavy stings and when you play hard she is like, heh.
Big neck too, baseball bat compared to what I got now and just solid sounding bass, those are good for metal. Or, I would get a 37 inch Spector 5, that bass looks aweseome. I almost bought a Spector short scale, but not for metal.
One thing I see just about everybody miss:
On FWTBT, after the first four notes, there's a quick 19 to 16 pulloff that Cliff does.
What about motörhead
Faith no more fffffuuuu(k yea
This video was enjoyable to watch, it was well edited, it had good substance, and it wasn't boring, however, the "Metal" part could be done better. But that is just one scar one an otherwise great video.
My final verdict is 8 out of 10. Would recommend
The transition at 10:39 was perfect
Wasted Years is one of my all time favorite songs, and while I love the guitar lines, the bass is the true heart of the song
Call of Ktulu is one of the most amazingly fun bass tracks to play ever recorded ~
