I absolutely love my tonewood 1. Cannot wait to get this new version.
299? I would have expected twice that honestly
I've seen Mike Dawes live a few times when he supports Justin Haywards tour. He does a 30 min or so opening set then plays with Justin's band during the main gig. Myself and my Dad will be going again in a few months so can't wait! Mike is an incredible player!! Im in total awe each time I see him. Also Mike plays electric during the show and its great to see him playing 'normally'. Awesome video Andertons. ????????
Yamaha was first; they used their piano tech that evolved into their transacoustic guitars.
Can it load IRs? That’d be awesome for when playing live plugged in
how difficult/damaging is removal of the xbrace? I see 4 neonadium magnets with 2 sided sticky tape .
that adhesive could be problematic over time and I've yet to get an answer from anyone including the folks over at tonewood
what if you hold the vibrating bit up to your throat…. will it make an acoustic talk box? will i get reverb outta mouth?
I have the first one. Brilliant product, except it chewed through batteries and that's why it's in the loft. Changing to a rechargeable lion is the most important upgrade they made.
Sounds better without it
I thoroughly enjoyed my ToneWoodAmp – the leap in functionality in the Gen2 is truly incredible. I can't wait to get one
Hyvibe is better
1:05 after hearing that, I might be go back sleeping… it is so calming.
Mike what a legend!
I really wonder if something like this could be applied to a electric guitar? Anyhow, I love this device
The mic guitar sound is OVER compressed. Hard to tells what the device is actually doing ????
Tonewood Amp 2 is the single best invention for acoustic guitar, hands down. Especially for people like me who hate amps and pedals or lugging shit around
This is awesome, would love to hear/see how it works with nylon strings. I have a guitar that has a bridge pu that blends with a built in mic
Someone said it's Bluetooth enabled. Does that allow you to play music through the guitar like with the Yamaha?
I'll wait for tonewood 3 when it has a drum .machine built in lol
I'm gonna name my preset for my bigger sounding guitar Hugh Jass. Thanks for the tip. Great review. The TWA 2.0 is killer!
So you can't use this live if you're plugged in to a PA?
instead of tonewood try the much better Product and Brand called Hyvibe , with models Hyvibe essentials and Hyvibe H2, they also use this very same and already very old, and already very know technology called actuators /resonators. And nope, tonewood this did NOT invent this at all.
The sound that come out of this guy's fingers is pretty mind blowing on its own, you can't buy that. Unit sounds great.
Are the mikes also hooked up to an amp..
Sounds artificial…
Anyone use this with the lr braggs anthem ?
lol yeah you guys got me.. bought it right now from Andertons. I was contemplating a new acoustic guitar but now I can buy this ….THEN buy the new guitar..
Fascinating….almost makes me wish I was ana coustic player!
but why.
Mike is such a phenomenal player ????
Its bluetooth operated. Amazing!
Turns back of guitar into a speaker…
$479.95 + tax in Canada
super high qualiddee
So who came up with I first? Tonewood or Yamaha with their Transacoustic system?
I have one of these. I supported their kickstarter campaign. Had it for several months now. It’s outstanding. The first one was good. This one is on another level! Once you’ve played acoustic with it, you’ll just want to have it on all the time. Amazing thing.
It's witchcraft.
Mike is not only one of the best out there but such a lovely and funny dude.
A bought a TWA from Andertons a few years back following Mike's YouTube demo. Now it seems I should consider upgrading to a TWA2…..
Able to love to try this device with a violin as well as my semi acoustic
My main semi acoustic is evasion I do have others
Device have a looper on board definitely going to have to check this out and I take it you can plug in headphones when you sat on the park bench on a hilltop down by the harbour or even sat on the beach can you control this device with a remote foot switch?
Very much appreciate this channel
So would the bean magnets system still hold this device on my electro acoustic roundback? Send me acoustic
This is some insanely cool tech. Kinda mindblowing.
Next step…..Midi control….Just saying….with the availability of wireless midi controller pedals, having any kind of midi implementation would make this a no brainer purchase…
Can you have the 1/4 output be dry? Or is the output exactly what is coming out of the hole?
Does this thing "only" add some effects, or does it make the guitar louder too?
And what happens if you have the guitar hanging on a strap when playing standing, and you touch the back of the guitar with your body? Does it mute all that magic sounds?
do I need to have an active pickup or does It even work with an passive pickup?
I want to buy this but I'm confused. Do I just need Tonewood 2 or do I also need the accessories? If I need the accessories which ones? I know I'm probably being thick but I'm hoping someone will explain it for me.
LAG guitars are even better than this and its all built in.
Yamaha don't make one that is left handed. For us lefties the TWA is great.
