By just using those shapes my soloing has improved very fast ???? Thank you!
Good tutorial. Leaves unsaid that it's oké to play minor over major (like you do sometimes), but the other way around it's not oké.
I am 64 yrs old been playing for 50 yrs. Left handed by ear. I first thought your talking through it was boring but i finally realised the things you were saying was causing me to remember better instead of learning and forgetting. Wanted to give you a big big shout out for what you are doing. I especially like the way you tell what chords you are playing because ive learned alot of chords i didnt know. Quite honestly that has helped me more than anything because i can use my looper which i also just found out about in the last 5 years. Thank you!
Thank you Brian for this awesome lesson, i enjoy playing the shapes of the e major and e minor scales!:)
God bless you brother. Wish you good Health and Peace love from Bombay…. Very Multifaceted ideas of Jamming an yet so simple. Salute….
Always soulful and tasty
Thank You.
If it sounds good that's the main thing.
Educative
Brian I love this lesson. On the site is it easy to find these "easy" lessons?
Love your way of simplifying such awesome, sacred knowledge. TY
This was so helpful.
By far the best lesson about blues! Game changer
This is really great material/content. Can you please bring more of those 'nuggets' of connections with the notes and the chords, that's where I am now and trying to learn that part of it. Challenging!
Nice little mini pattern lesson! For me, it helps to incorporate and use these if I also know the pentatonic "box" the patterns are in. This is top of boxes 4&5. I don't look at the major boxes differently, i.e. renumbered as is often taught but if you do, then top of maj boxes 3&4
I do have a critical question Brian, that dog on the back…. Is it the same dog Phoebe bring to play at Monica's tiny house in friends? 🙂
This felt so good to play ❤
Is that a real 72’ or is that an MIJ?
Wow this was FANTASTIC! Thank you
Shapes also match triads
I just had that ah ha moment I've been trying to find for years ????, thanks so much!
TALK SLOWER
WORDS HAVE SPACES BETWEEN THEM
This is eye opening to me, but how does this relate to playing chords to accompany yourself with songs?
you just got sub frome me. thank you ao much sir.
Wow! Thank you so much for breaking this down and a really simple way. I am a bass player that's venturing into guitar. I use shapes all the time for bass playing. This simply explains what I've been trying to learn for quite some time now. Thank you very much. Great video
I use a rhombus and a trapezoid. Results are not exactly blues, but they do have the side benefit of repelling pests from the house.
I liked the info in the video but it was way to long
It is A Mixolydian
I'm working on????
Great! (Wish the fretboard was closer to the camera).
Where do I get the shirt you're wearing?
You put a lot into these. Appreciate it.
Brian you are the OB1 of guitar teachers. I want to express my gratitude for all the hard work you put into make these amazingly useful free vids. You have taken me from the monotony of running up and down scales that I could never make a melody of to being able to play some pretty sexy lead. Thanks again and God bless you brother.
Great instructions ????
I've tried to understand the fretboard for 35 years. I'll never get it. I'm a moron!
