  • Is there a multi switch pedal that works with this to quickly get to the effect you want without scanning through with one button?

  • Does the GP5 have the same AC sim as the 200? What about the acoustic cabs?

  • Fantastic pedal (I have bought one) and great demo – but I did a little sick in my mouth at 10'27". Was that really necessary?

  • … the old US adage: "in the US, too much is Good … and More is Better". IMO, the GP5 is only missing One thing – a skilled AI Player option. Pete makes the unit sound Great (though, his body language screams – "Get me out of here"). Having a hundred thousand effects with parameters, with as many adjustments … for a "beginner" (Lee) only provides the player 100,000 ways to sound like shit . . . perhaps taking the time dedicated to fussing with apps and cables and tabs and laptops and connectivity and instead start working on playing skills!!!
It would be great fun to watch a Newbie do a GP5 YT Review . . .

    just sayin'

  • I hate fiddling with all the freakn delay and reverb parameters in most effect units and am always on the lookout for a great sounding simple delay and reverb pedal that i can throw in the effects loop of my amp and quickly set the mix, feedback and time and then go…this just might do it for me!

  • Mine will finally arrive today, fingers crossed it’ll sound any bit as good as my Valeton GP 200 ????

  • Damn I am loving mine. What a great piece of kit. I really hope there is an update soon that allows for the footswitch hold to be something other than the tuner. Like i have better tuners I can put on my board anyways but If i could get an extra control function out of this thing though I would genuinely use it at gigs!

  • A really in-depth, detailed and honest review… Thanks so much, guys. I have one question, though, is the unit only app-controlled or is there Windows-compatible software that would allow me to make my own patches? TIA for a reply.

  • I bought one and it and it would not ship to my house when I was home. Pick up spot is not open when I am available to pick it up. Can I just return this? Thanks. Tried emailing like 3-4 times.

  • Tonex is a pain in the butt and I need a way to tweak or change away from home. I'm all in on the GP-5 but can't find one in stock. I would buy one from Andertons but am afraid of extra fees to the US.

  • No way, multifx, ir loader and supports neural amp models? Great to see Steven's work has come this far

  • I learned that you can NOT use a balanced (trs) cable from the output to the speaker or amp.. It does some weird stuff when you don't use a guitar patch cable… Just FYI.. My gp 200 and 200lt use a trs cable to the mixer..

  • I bouth it. Sounds great! I would pay another 50 bucks if the knobs and wah expression are controllable over midi. Hoping for firware update that allows this.

  • So just to be clear this sounds just as good as the tonex one for about less than half price? I tried a tonex one recently, while the sounds were great, the drm scared me away. Now I'm in the position to buy one of these and Im going Valeton….you cannot even buy a used tonex without sweating because if the owner didn't de-register, you are SOL on using any software with it, and by extension loading any tones….

  • Note to the Captain….heck on waiting for Christmas I ordered mine today. I will be honest and say that I bought the Tonex One and I am so darn frustrated with getting it to work with an app and working with MIDI devices. That display showing what the setting is and the app on the phone really makes it look easy to operate. I have to try the tuner because this may act as my tuner as well and save me a spot on my board for something else….

  • Think twice before ordering this pedal to the US; DHL is claiming there's a $67 US customs duty tax due me or they'll return the item and not deliver it.
That's 90% of the cost of this pedal .
ETA After some calls, I found it's not the tariffs between the US and the UK, which are minimal, but that Andertons is having the pedal shipped direct from China , which does have the higher tariffs in place right now. Oh well. Still not a bad price I guess, it makes it about equal with the base price of the ToneX pedal it competes with.

  • I noticed tonex one price slash. But then noticed hype for Valeton GP-5 and price of it + features blown away – just purchased GAS but it is amazing considering it has app, BT, midi controllable ????

  • Man, if this existed when i was a kid I think I would never have left home. Sound sooooooooo goog compared with every entry level amplifier and multieffect

  • At what point do these digital pedals start putting adds in the software, and just take a big loss on the the hardware. I feel like that where we are going.

  • Run this through the effects loop of an actual amp set to clean and damn never need anything else. Want is another story but as far as needs go you’d be set.

  • just got one off you and the android software will not install on my samsung andriod phone tried everything cant get it on any ideas please

  • I wish someone would do an in depth video on how to set this thing up, I've been trying for three days and all I get is this is missing or that needs another programme to get it to work but it never does.

  • Hello! Can this processor be used fully with a bass guitar? There are still few reviews on the Internet about using it with a bass guitar.

  • Inside all of those is a 5$ microcontroler, that's what create all the sounds and effects.
They could integrate it in guitar cable or offer it with a new pack of strings.
