Ah, how times have changed.
Could not begin to imagine how the landscape would change in the upcoming years!
How can I take the noise out of the 404Loose bass drum on the REDRUM? I WANT THE 127 LENGTH BUT NOT LINGERING HISS FEEDBACK. HOW?
I figured it out after I looked at the template, this to me is not a regular setup, with the combinator routing and the lfo splitter into cv 1 in both Thors. Why did you use 2 thors left and right when its already Stereo? I like the change of filters just by pushing a button 3. thats cool. This is an excellent video, I will watch the others but is there a good book you'd recommend on this? thanks anyway. Seems more like college grade stuff than just a 5 minute video.
Can anybody tell me how he got the combinator knobs assigned to 'Wobble Speed', 'Cutoff', 'Resonance' and the buttons to 'Wobble on', 'Tempo Sync' and 'LPF/BPF' because the only thing connected in the back is 'rotary knob 1' (from Thors step sequencer curve output) which is 'Wobble speed', I don't understand how he got all the other knobs to function as they were for 'Cutoff', 'Resonance' etc.
Like this comment if you still doing this in 2015. No, just kidding… btw I love my Reason!
man do you have any dnb tutorials?
Same with all heavy software. Anyone can flick through the presets, but if you want to get creative and make your own stuff you have to invest some time 🙂
Anyone out there know if you can use a Pioneer RMX1000 as an instrument/Plug In in Reason 6.5? I'm asking Santa for one for Christmas for my dj set up and it will be a bonus if you can use it in the rack. I know you can use it inside Logic and Ableton but I don't have or want them… Reason 6.5 all the way for me baby….!
You are Amazing! How do you know So much like this?? You are damn good Mr.
download from his link and its done for you, check description
Hey james love the video…..Just wanted to know with the step sequencer can i use it to trigger drums the way you trigger the wobble bass with the keyboard to make it go 1/16 or 1/32 or maybe use the redrum to do it with the keyboard……
Thanx
Metropolis
Wtf yes you can? Press F4 for a keyboard
sigh…
You can use your laptop/computer keyboard… press F4 or go to the menu and show the keyboard
haha just download the patch – duh : )
how do you route out of the cv splitter to the cv rotary in the combinator ??
u dont got a keyboard
@RHenry92 yes he did, at the very end. It could've been more precise though.
Does anybody now how to retrig if you're playing legato? The pause between the notes is noticeable if you follow what the video showed.
also how do you re assign the rate?
what if you dont got a keyboard?
It`s al little bit complicated to find out how the rate of the "right" thor is modulated. The rate is modulated by the first rotary of the combinator, which is modulated by curve 1 of the "right" thor. Am I right?
This was a pretty good tutorial. I had been curious about the dub synthesizer sounds and was wanting a introduction to it using Reason and this helped.
im really confused, where has the second thor come from, you have missed out loads from the last video?
everything on the second thor i havnt seen, you didnt do a tutorial for it
great tip number 3
this helped me learn a LOT
thanks a lot james, you rock
Awsome i am trying to learn how th use the combinator
thanx for makin this :).
How have i never seen this before? Outstanding
@DoobieJ next to the run button change to REPEAT, than play. that was my problem too. it might work.
how do you import the whobble patch into reason 5??
so i tried doing this with my patch and it messed up my whole song. the combinator i tried this technique in is listed as wobble bass and its track doesnt play but all the others do. it played fine until i started modifing it. any help would be greatly appreciated
Now I can appreciate this video, thanks James!
You said you showed us how to assign the combinator to the wobble rate… you never.
good shit over here
@JimijaymesGuitarist Its the notes as well that play along how do i turn off the notes from the step sequencer
