  • I met Greg once as a child he had his shop in Georgia I pestered him with some questions and tried to trade in my extremely modified Gibson grabber he explained to me the differences between the cort's and his only now do I understand why they were so expensive

  • on real curbows rockwood is actually multilaminated birch impregnated with phenolic resin at high pressure and temperature, ebonol fretboard is basically cardboard treated sort of the same way

  • I have a 1997, six string and have taken it with me, performing all over the world. It is solid as a rock. It is incredibly versatile, sounding great playing all musical genres. I used it steady, six nights a week 42 weeks a year, in the Nevada casinos, finally wearing the finish off of the body.
Nowadays, it sports faux alligator skin on the body and headstock, which looks ultra unique.
I used it for many years aboard cruise ships, where it weathered shows on deck, with waves literally crashing onto the stage, as well as heat and 100% humidity.
These basses are work horses and sound phenomenal.

  • Just found the exactly same bass in black. Nothing on the trussrodcover, but it says Tanglewood on the body itself. Same neck, headstock, hardware, electronics, but Tanglewood. Curious

  • Pretty cool brother, I could kick myself every time I think of how I passed on the chance to buy one just like that in a city called Indian Wells, CA. back in 2002 while on tour. The reason I passed on it was that it was top heavy and not well balanced ( back then I held my bass 6 nights a week). I'd still like to find another one!
