Next Level CAGED Guitar – Major Chord Coloring

In this lesson we build on our knowledge of the CAGED system to create more colourful chords.
By freeing up our fingers from the bass root of those familiar chord shapes, we can focus on extending and colouring the basic major chords for accompaniment.
So this is as much about economising our chord fingering as it is playing more expressive, rich and flowing harmony up and down the neck.

I have always hated the caged system I learned in the beginning I've always understood the 3 notes per string for theory and being able to cover the neck completely. I'm embarrassed but this is the first time I've understood the caged system always thought it was slow

You teach music/music theory like no other pal. I have never witnessed anyone put this so plainly. Same goes for all the other subjects that you cover. I am a classically trained musician, that in hindsight, would have preferred you as a teacher over my peers. And that’s a compliment: My Piano teacher, apparently, played for the queen at the Royal Albert Hall. I think she was talking shit but my parents assure me it’s true.
