The Gibson Marcus King ES-345 has some surprising features for the price – we demo it
Marcus King is one of the most soulful guitarists and songwriters working today – and his vintage ES-345, passed down through his family, is a mainstay of his sound. He’s recently been honoured with a signature model version of his vintage 345 but, despite some very nice upgrades, it’s priced quite keenly – so could this be the best balance of distinctiveness and upgraded features for a given price in the Gibson range? Or is it only for the Marcus King Faithful? Richard Barrett and Jamie Dickson enter the Guitarist Tone Lounge to find out.

God I want one. I'll take the hand wired AC15 at the same time as well, thanks ????
Always enjoy Richard’s playing enormously, even though his blues lessons in The Guitarist are still too hard for me, after just 18 months’ of guitar….
Wonderful sounding guitar played by a supreme player. Thanks for the great video.
Nice demo. It sounds great.
Lovely sounding guitar and great playing, though my OCD had me reaching for the lemon oil for that bone dry fretboard!????
Great video! Love the playing and your commentary.
Sounds incredible!!! A bit disappointing that the inlays are plastic instead of abalone on a $4k guitar ????????
“For the price”???
It’s four-thousand dollars
????????????
The fetboard looks like it's spitting feathers.
Nice Guitars and great demo guys PS what's the LP please PPS nice Chelsea boots where did you get them from please
What pedalboard model do you guys use. It looks really cool
Good review here. I'd use both of these guitars. Although not 'featured' in this presentation, can you tell me more about Jamies' LPC ? It has a nice clear sound. Thanks both, J
He played through the VOX – and which strings are on the guitar?
Very nice demo, thank you.
The rosewood fretboard doesn't look very dark, to be honest, and, personally, I don't like the split inlays.
The sound is actually good.
My god that sounds unbelievably good ????
where is your white top from? nice! i want to get one!
Well Gibson always had nice sounds since les paul
