  • I see it’s been sold, Part of me thinks that I should have found the extra money and bought this , I’ve never seen another since that’s in such amazing condition, lucky buyer ????

  • Wow such a beautiful example of a 68, is it a B width nut ?, if this was in the uk I think I would be tempted to buy it, but it’s a bit above my budget, looks like an amazing showroom too , can’t beat playing a 68 next to a Ferrari ????

  • I love the video, and indeed it is the greatest bass sound of all time, however I must dispel this myth; Jamerson recorded direct through the hand made Motown DI box, not through the amp, as did the guitarists. There were no amplifiers. It was all direct.

Bob Ohllson, former Motown super engineer, pointed out on a thread that virtually nothing was done to alter the bass sounds of either Jamerson or Babbitt. It all came from their fingers .

  • WOW on so many levels! The bass! The amp! The Cars! The space! Bravo! 🙂 I might get a master made copy of that bass. I already have the amp 🙂

  • I personally feel what defined the most own sound was the p bass and DI and no amp. Based on everything I read anyway.

  • I'm not gonna lie this bass is absolutely gorgeous. I play a Precision Bass exclusively so I can more than appreciate this video.
