Don't get the dislikes, but I completely agree. I was 100% onboard and excited when they dropped their debut song. But the past 2 releases have fallen a little short of expectations they set. But I'm holding out to hear the studio version of "Destroy Me". The live version at Download was incredible!!
Instead of mocking and making fun and going into the song with a bad taste, have a listen to the music. It’s not for everyone I get it but leave aside making fun of it beforehand
the lyrics and the way the band sounds does not match the vibe they're going for at all, what with the masks and the band name and all. personally was a letdown to give them a shot expecting it to have some kinda political theme or any sort of message behind it, but then it turns out its more generic heartbreak-breakup type stuff
Love your content, but…I feel like you're focusing too much on the marketing and masks stuff. Kinda like the way people hate on Sleep Token, for the same stupid stuff that doesn't matter.
This is probs the worst reaction I've seen from this channel.. too busy taking the piss instead of listening to the song. Disappointing, this song is incredible and very Charlie. If you don't like them, don't bother?

Not sure why so much hate on the vocal effects. Totally get its not for everyone but knowing how good his voice is live it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Maybe I’m drinking the koolaid but I really enjoy their music. This is their best release in my opinion.

It’s a shame they’re going so hard on the autotune sound as the totally anonymous lead singer who definitely nobody has any idea who it could possibly be, actually has an incredible voice. The chorus of Fearless is the best part of all their songs so far, and guess what makes it stand out? The lack of auto tune

To be honest, I didnt like the first or second single. This song, the third song, I will admit on first listen I wasn't sold, however it has grown on me. As a song on its own its not amazing. But as a part of a playlist with variety it really works for me to be honest.
I will say though, this song coming out the same week as the absolutely amazing new single by Vower – moth becomes the flame, no other song had much of a chance standing out against that.
The obnoxious marketing campaign, unhinged fans who want to feel cool listening to the "new" thing, and the vocal effects are all weighing down what could otherwise be a thoroughly "mid" pop-rock effort from President. Sleep Token has a lot of the same problems, the difference is that they've written some really cool songs.
Sure, the "President" persona really has nothing to do with the music….but yeah this is the best song so far. ❤
