The Best Tone Bender MKI: The Cunningham Amps MKI Fuzz

#fuzzpedal #guitarpedals #edgeofbreakup

???? In this video, I demo the Cunningham Amps MKI Fuzz, a boutique fuzz pedal built around the iconic MKI Tone Bender circuit. Known for its saggy, compressed, and explosive vintage character, this fuzz brings a raw, expressive voice to any signal chain.

???? I’m pairing it with my stellar Gronlund Guiars SC-18, loaded with vintage-style TV Jones TV Classic Filtertron pickups, into my smokin’ Greer Amps Mini Chief tube amp and Greer Smallblock 1×12″ loaded with a pre-broken-in Scumback Speakers S75-PVC speaker! If you’re into vinage style fuzz like fuzz face tones, treble boosters / Rangemaster, this you owe it to yourself to explore the amazing world of Tone Bender fuzz - and Tim Cunningham does vintage-inspired fuzz tone with a modern twist like no one else.

???? Expect thick sustain, gated breakup, and plenty of character as we push this circuit – and this amp – to its limits. I’ll walk through settings and explain them with subtitles, fuzz response with different dynamics and guitar control settings, and how it stacks in a real-world rig.

The audio was recorded with 4 mics on the cab. The mics are from Royer Labs (R10 and R121), Lauten Audio (LS-208), and Ohma Mics (Ribbon) into a Universal Audio Apollo x4 into Ableton Live 12 for mixing.
