I never knew about his previous signatures but there was something so revolutionary about the color and design of this one – I had to do whatever it took to find one! I had a FANTASTIC time playing this guitar, it is so ridiculously smooth everywhere and has some great tones baked into it. So the trem arm pushes in and then screws in farther with the set screw in the back to add the right amount of tension for your taste. Gotoh makes the best Floyd in my opinion not only in quality but stability as well.

Trogly! That tremolo arm actually screws in. It isn't a push in. The set screw is for setting how freely the arm swings.. Also that is not a high end tremolo. All gotoh 1966t are the same quality and IMO better than real floyds. I assume Herman likes them better too otherwise he would have specced it with a floyd.
So cool! I just have never heard a Fishman pickup I enjoyed. Maybe I am just not cultured enough.

Excellent craftsmanship and design. Except maybe for the USB charging thing. And for its price, it's totally for collectors only.
That body shape is beautiful. It addresses the sadness I have about PRS guitars: they are too heavy. If they could do a far less fancy SE version with a similar much thinner body it would be a winner.
Beautiful guitar. I hope that battery never needs changing. Also question the jack if its easier to swap out

I actually really want one, just the craftsmanship is amazing!
Looks sexy but it really makes no sense why people are so hellbent on putting the pickup selector right next to the knobs. You can't efficiently change pickups quickly without bumping the knobs.
I feel that the output jack cavity is too deep. Not a fan of pulling on the wire to disconnect. I've repaired way to many wires due to that. ????
Looks like a node to Steve Vai and his Jem with the 4 scalped frets. As I see more of this guitar, the more I'm unimpressed.

Hope we get a cheaper one (with similar electronics but cheaper, standard body shape) in shiny green like that Majesty at 45:36 I'll be all over it!
Herman had (I think Sam has it now) an Ibanez signature/custom in shiny green that didn't ever get produced/sold, only a couple pictures exist that I can find. Woulda loved to have that after the purple, instead of the orange or natural/blonde that they came out with instead.

Herman goes after what he wants in a guitar FIRST and THEN worries about it from a business perspective. Very authentic.
I got into DragonForce first but got into the rest of the guitar world proper via Guitar Hero (I even sent early GH emails telling them to include DragonForce in the next game! So I take full credit for GH 3! lol)
I got his Ibanez and it's still probably the best guitar I've every played. It's got the same scallops, nearly as versatile switching with custom pickups, lowered middle pickup, custom cut-out on the lower horn and hand-ring on the upper horn. It's great.
I can wait for the cheaper Herman PRS signature to come out.
I'm glad I don't love the look (shape mostly) because I love everything else and if I loved everything then I'd have to buy it. I think I'm ok to wait for, hopefully, the cheaper model to come out.
I like how this guitar has perfect specs but will stop working with time due to the charging battery for the pickups. Usually premium guitars hold their value quite well. This is gonna have absolute garbage resell value. And since expensive guitars are just a fashion statement for the most part, there is no reason to buy it in the first place. The colors are cancer.
