I feel like you didn’t quite grok how the “drag” function works. Similar to how a Cloudlifter Zi DI operates, varying the input impedance. Yes, it affects the sound, but it is not actually an EQ. Nor is it as simple as a gain stage. It impacts how your passive pickups behave. It’s a bit of electrical engineering, but anyone who has ever put their P or J pickups through a variable impedance circuit knows how dramatic (or subtle) a difference it can make in the fullness of sound.

I like the Radial stuff, but the weird power requirements (400ma, 15volts) are so dumb and painfully inconvenient. Also, the outputs should either be all across the top, or all on the sides, but they're all over the place, making pedalboard placement tough.

My Radial PZ-Pre acoustic pre with DI has the PZBuffer, its a really awesome feature. I think Radial doesn't make good sounding OD circuits though they should just stick to eq, gain/impeadance matching and DI making. Then there pedals will be very useful and a player can buy their favourite OD to put with it.
Its a pity there isn't more flexibility on the channels eq like a mid shift and presence, I recon I'd swap the od out for a more flex on the eq.

God stop selling anything saying it's emulating an svt to give value to your product, that od sounds nothing like an svt, just like a plain normal overdrive box…..
