  • The chart he sent for Country Roads was in C, as you mentioned, but you changed to A. Messed with me.

  • I think me having started out as a drummer and was playing for 10 plus years before I picked up the bass so picking up the beats and keeping time with out anybody else come easy to me. But thats just me

  • Great lesson! I'm just a beginner, but two of my buddies are experienced rock guitar players and they want to just "jam" with me soon. I have absolutely no idea what I should play in that setting.

  • Thanks for the lesson….but I am confused. The original chord sheet is in C and your re-write is in A. Are you saying that although the Uke players are in C the Bass should be in A??? Or are you using A just for lesson purposes?? I didn't catch you saying anything in the lesson other than stating that you were playing in A. Also a Tab sheet would have been helpful. Keep up the good work.

  • I'm in exactly the same position as Frank so this lesson was right up my street! Thank you so much. Question. In the given chord sheet (Country Roads) when it comes to Am I wonder whether I should be playing notes from the A minor scale and not the A Major scale. I'm confused. Yes please take the whole song apart. Nearly every Ukulele band I see (just come back from the North Tyneside Uke Festival) has a bass player these days and for most of the strictly amateur groups this is a person who volunteers to learn bass from scratch so there is a big audience out there for this kind of instruction. Thanks again for a very helpful lesson.

  • Another great lesson! Yes, please finish taking apart the song. I'll never turn down a lesson from someone of your caliber of bass playing!
