The Seymour Duncan Bass 400 and Biamp 8000( same thing as the 400 but two amps in one bridgeable or mono) are the actual kings ????
In a world where ‘amps’ are gravitating towards FX pedals and PC plugins: albeit for the beginner and bedroom hobbyists, to renowned artists in the studio and for live sound. It seems hella risky to be releasing amps that have predecessors from other manufacturers that did a lot more from years ago, cheaper and more available on the secondhand markets.
I’m not against SD or this product for anyone who’s interested, go for it! ???????? but I do genuinely wish them well on this refreshed venture into the world of amps to obviously build more insight and experience towards producing different pickups, electronics, FX and amplifiers, with what feedback and experience they receive, hopefully evolving with the technical advances and staying relevant with the industry and the market, in unison.
I love their pickups, got many in my collection and I’m a stickler for ‘old fashioned’ amps that don’t need digital processors and updates to do what they’re designed to but those of us who still use them, we do only count for a small percentage these days….. god my back hurts, anyone else? ????????
Then again, when the laptop’s batteries die or technical issues and whatnot, we can still have the last laugh and play on ????????????
if i was going to buy a bass amp I would prob get this just bc i use a ton of pedals and Pre's. plus the price is right
