I discovered the metal core through the katana. It made a great rock lead sound. I bought it and I’m actually a huge fan. Nothing like the metal zone. I don’t play any metal it’s just a great rock pedal.
Bro said im not gonna do use any of the eq options built into the pedal and just play the sloppiest boomer riffs and base my opinion off of that

Thank you for tearing apart these Boss pedals, they really are the worst.
I use this a lot through the effects loop of my egnater renegade. The renegade has an xlr simulated cab out. So ill record both this and a clean track, reamp it and use a different pedal and build a tone that way. Usually the metal zone. That pedal has a crazy eq sweep that the metal core doesnt so they play well together.
I don't think this pedal was made for hollow body guitars with single-coil bridge pickups.
I have this pedal. Finally an honest review. What should I get next for an effect pedal? I listen to Nu Metal and have a 7 string to play bands like KoRn and Limp Bizkit (6) and Linkin Park (7 on early songs and 6 on later)
Metal zone is an incredible pedal with too powerful of an eq that people don’t know how to use so it gets a bad reputation
