I have an LS6 that I got used last year. The guitar sounds very good and has a great tone.
I love this channel. I just discovered it about 3 months ago.
Yamaha guitars have always been the underdog.
But they are still the top one.
That says it all.
The big names cost more fore cork sniffers. ????
I get new info about Engelmaannn! Thanks! I hope this ARE-handeled wood stands better in northern Finland!!
It is noticeable smaller than an LL? How about a comparison between an LL & LS? Thank you.
Have you done any reviews on Veelah? Could you source and review Veelah MC-KOA mini camper I think you will love it!
What do you like about the LS over the LL? I’m torn but swaying to the LL ????????♂️
Just bought LS16 ROSEWOOD… amazing sound
Does the black one and the natural sound the same, or is There a différence? Thks, Nice review!!!
Watched a dozen of videos about the LS16 ARE the past few days. But I have to give this to you; your video is certainly my favourite one. Not only because of the way you reviewed and rated the guitar, but mainly because of the pure passion, wonderful playing and absolute happiness you've carried into this recording. Never seen a video of you before, but you are one special and wonderful person!
As a beginning/starting intermediate player, I've ordered the LS16 ARE (Dark Tinted) myself a few days ago. It will arrive to me in 3 days. Nearly can't wait for this beauty and am hoping to master the playing of the guitar bit by bit.
Thanks again for this video and the (extra) joy and passion you affected me with! 🙂
Hi Jarvis. I'm always looking for objective guitar reviews, people who aren't beholding to the manufacturer, and are willing to share with the community honest opinions. I purcpurchased Yamahas LS16 after hearing your review. When new, I couldn't hear much in the way of bass, the low e didn't move the top much. But after a few years playing it, the top became more open and responsive to the long sines, even the uv cured polyurethane didn't stop it from opening up. Crystalline is how I describe the sound positively, bright but sterile in the pejorative. Thank you Jarvis for bringing this jewel to my attention. Harry.
Hi , thanks for this video how much smaller is it from Yamaha – AC3M ARE ? if you know?
What do you think about yamaha ac3r. Which better between with yamaha ls 16. I just play at home not perform on the stage. And i like playing fingerstyle not strumming
Music can be very therapeutic, especially in the darkest moments.
I love the new composition!
Cort P8 or Yamaha LS 16?
I enjoy your videos, alot. I have a LS 16, and have changed the saddle, and put on Grover locking tuners, (which I almost always do). Anyway…I also have an LS 830, (320. US dollars). The 830 is amazing for the $, and fun to play…has a full bright ringing sound for its size. My question: 830 has a Sitka spruce top, LS 16 has an Engelemann spruce top. I don't get the loose bright sound like the 830, (same strings 11 -52 Earthwood). Any suggestions on how to brighten it up? Thanks!
I have a Yamaha ll6. What is your professional suggestion about upgrading its’ nuts, pins and tuners? Thanks!
Sounds very "yamaha"
As you know every guitar maker somehow have its own signature sound and this ls16 guitar is sound good in yamaha way. At the end its depend on your own preference
great review, i think i will purchase this guitar i was deciding between this and the ll16. Do you think I should i upgrade the pins, nut, saddle and tuners and if so what products would you recommend i upgrade with. Many thanks for all the hard work and stay safe
Quickly becoming a favorite channel of mine, your untainted reviews resonate and are rock solid!
I know ls16 is not an OM, but how do you think it compares to the Martin OM28 for fingerpicking?
This new LS16 year 2020 sounds loose and responsive as compared to other LS16 videos recorded by you previously, Yamaha improves again! Wow
The new LS16 originally all come with Bone Saddle and Nut nowadays. Correct me if I am wrong, info by authorised Yamaha dealer Singapore.
wait is it all solid wood?
Yes very true about music creation from emotional situations, Yes look to your Creator!!. Jarvis Thank You for all of these videos, Im sitting here playing bass along with you ! Can you describe the NECKS of the guitars?, how easy they are to play how thick they are… like a "C' or a"U" or a "D" or "V" ? Neck is so important , to play comfortably!!
And we can't feel them like you can in your demos, Thanks! 😉
(BTW, this guitar is not available anymore…only through Malaysia or France.)
Price?
I really appreciate your honest and non B.S. approach.. very detailed and honest of possible improvements to benefit the Guitars (and life)..Thanks for the great reviews. Stay safe
4:16 that sneeze tho…
Super guitar!
ciao jarvis…un abbraccio
YOU ARE THE BEST —FROM NAPLES ITALY
Great review really! Thank you
NO!..I purchased the guitars that I grew up listening to and love the sound of..Its like food you gre up eating you like..Guitars are the same…..Martin D28..Led Zeppelin,Gibson J45 everyone else..Sadly the kids this day and age listen to poop..rap music and have nothing to reference…Nothing to do at all with the size of the guitars..And only little soy boy Antifa's stand in the mirror and look at themselves..Now, I spend a lot of time looking at less expensive guitars that I can take out of the house without risk of damage..
What magic do you do the the nut and saddle that will make it sound 3x the price?
Hi, would you recommend this guitar or fs3?
great playing! this is the best review of LS16 I've seen! I saw you reviewed the same guitar in 2017, is there a difference between the 2020 version vs the 2017 versions? I don't think the materials have changed. Do they have the same bracing?
I really want one of these but I didn't found anyone on the internet!!!
Hello Guitar Spa!
Please tell us how much would it cost to do a setup on one of these guitars, including lowering the action, replacing the plastic nut and saddle with bone or FMI. Thanks!
Between Yamaha ls6 are vs Taylor GS mini Mahogany which would you choose or recommend? And the reason for it. Thank you
H! Thank you for your video reviews! How would you compare this Guitar with Yamaha Red label FS5 ? Since you reviewed both It would be interesting to have your opinion! Thanks!
Hi Jarvis. Such a great video!
Could you please compare LS16 are and FS3? I think their prices is similar but sound is quite different
Playin jarvis’s compositions in front of the mirror doesnt get any better than that… love the guitar spa reviews!!
where can i buy your original music?
Hi Jarvis, I’m torn between this Ls16 and taylor 114e. What would you recommend?
Fs5 sounds better,,????
