  • My first guitar was a used Ibanez RG350M. It was an ugly banana yellow color (it looked neon green online ????) and even though it was hideous i regret selling it. I should've kept it and spray painted it or something. Although selling it did fund my first tube amp lol. But during lockdown inhad a barely functioning explorer kit guitar and was wishing I had a super strat that played better and I could shred on. I forgot about it and bought a PS60 Iceman to replace the explorer but that sucks too. Recently I remembered my RG and i've been saving to re-buy my first guitar for months now ????

  • Interesting to make a video on this subject at the turn of the year (It's almost 2024) mentioning a guitar that's been discontinued since the start of "22. Epiphone WILL NOT re-launch, or price a guitar at the market of the old Specials like the one you mentioned, and are therefore unavailable in most of the world. You can probably hunt for them as new-old-stock but it won't come back, with the new Specials being priced three times higher.

With this in mind, I would like to mention that the S.G. Shape of that particular line is plentiful all over the world, and in my personal experience (having tried more of these than any one human should due to tutelage) is a MUCH better guitar than the single-cut Jr. And I highly recommend them. I 'suppose get em' while you can, as Epiphone's pricing seems to be creeping up to compete with MiM Fender stuff, and leaving the "Starter Pack" Market altogether.
