  • TRS seems a little problematic. It might be okay to connect to a nearby audio interface at home, but if you're sending a signal to Front Of House and the FOH mixer is plugged into a different circuit you'll get ground hum. A normal preamp pedal with XLR out has a Ground-Lift switch, but this doesn't, so if you're performing you need to carry a DI box (which has ground lift) to plug into in case you get hum.

If you want to connect to an audio interface at home you probably just as easily could connect an XLR too, so the use of TRS instead of XLR seems to be a way to deal with limited space at lower cost. But like I said, it's problematic for stage use.

  • A waza reissue of the first five black Boss bass pedals would be most welcome

  • I’m getting one of these as a second preamp. I’m gonna run the Parallel out of my Sansamp Bass Driver DI into the BB-1X so I can run two DI’s to the front of house. Basically like the Drive and Deep outputs of the Geddy Lee signature sansamp, except instead it would be Bass Driver DI for deep and Boss BB1X for drive.

  • This video has an overdriven bass sound I actually like, and I mostly hate overdrive on bass. Nice to see a bass pedal being demoed by someone who clearly actually plays bass, and not some wanky guitar player who wants to play a bass like it's a guitar.

  • Does this work well with other pedals? I like the sound sound my Tech 21 VT pedal gives me but I want to be able to switch feom a cleaner sound and a dirty sound through a second pedal or maybe get a dual channel pedal.

  • Hi guys ! Saw you also made a demo of the odb3. Would you mind making a comparison video ? I own the odb3 and I'm considering about switching to this one so it would be pretty usefull considering the gap in price between these 2 models.

  • I have one of these. I leave it on most of the time as an enhancer pedal, with a smudge of overdrive Sounds great! if I need more distortion, I go elsewhere.
