  • This really helped, thanks. I've been saying for a lot of time now because I've been wondering why does soundcloud sound a lot better than Spotify, and that's why thanks again.

  • Ok all of this BUT the EQ part is good advice. Now, I probs wouldn’t use one of the presets, but if you know what you’re doing or have a good understanding of EQ then I’d customise it to your preference, especially cause it can actually ENHANCE how music sounds in certain systems. Headphones too bass-y? Turn down the lows. Car stereo lacking bass? Turn the lows up.

  • “The way the song was intended to be heard” can’t be the same on every sound system, or in every room, car or other listening environment. That’s why being able to adjust the equaliser on Spotify is so important.

  • I would disagree about the equalizer, if you’re using a poorly tunned headphone the equalizer could help that.
Also someone might prefer colorations from flat????

  • The thing is… I had that normalize volume off, but it was when i used android which has undoubtedly superior quality of Bluetooth audio, but the downside was: if an artist is too old (let’s say “Miles Davis”), and then there’s a contemporary one, your ears will experience like a shot going through… and I listen at 30% to 40% volume.

  • It’s factually incorrect that turning off audio normalisation improves audio clarity. Unless it’s set to loud, it’s just normalises volume so that there is no sudden spike in volume. It does not alter the waveform. Some feel turning this off improves audio quality because people feel louder music is higher quality but it isn’t.

  • Dang, I'm deaf in one ear so I strive for quality improvements. And this helped a lot! The music sounds way more detailed. Thank you

  • Guys it works!! For android users, instead of Audio Normalization, switch off the Volume Normalization. Hope this helps!!

  • This actually works!!! I always had this problem especially with Go with the Flow from QOTSA, it sounded like I had blocked ears, even though its a rock song. Now finally it sounds good, thanks a lot. ❤❤❤

  • The only equalizer that I found worked, was the (I haven't had an iphone for 4 years so it may have changed) Spotify equalizer on the iphone, it worked like magic, and it actually didn't compress the rest like the android one does

  • I have a party speaker so it's not exactly for critical listening ???? and my wireless earbuds aren't wired so I can't hear hi res lossless audio

  • My Spotify has been skipping hard like a scratched cd im hoping this fixed it. Also if anyone else is experiencing this recently please let me know

  • I disagree with the EQ setting… flat. If you know how to use an equalizer and prefer less midrange, then you can use an EQ to do this. IMHO, a flat setting produces a harsh sound. I know this because I used to be a sound engineer back in the '80s at Sunset Sound Recorders. That is why they have mixing boards in recording studios. And why they sometimes remix sound recordings.

  • Thanks for the video, but how do you remove the spotify's generic “state of the the music today”???

  • Guys, if you don't see audio quality go on settings and privacy, then scroll to the bottom and hit media quality

  • For some reason in my region you can't turn the equalizer off ,so I have just set it to balanced, I like to put my phone power saving ,then turn off any unneeded apps, I also prefer to listen offline aswell ????
