  • Great video! I have an Eastman e20om-tc-mr. Quite similar excepting the Madagascar rosewood. I agree with the slight boxiness but I think the Madagascar rosewood is less boxy and more harmonically complex.

  • I note the BSG oo is a 12 fret, Ithink that gives it that easy , warm sound along with the cedar top. What is the scale legth and nut width.

  • All sounded special. Compare favorably with my Taylir 224- ce koa which is in that price range

  • I am a singer-songwriter and I refuse to play if I have to plug in my acoustic and use a microphone for my voice. I don’t like to gig in the first place, so plugging in is an absolute dealbreaker for me.
I want the audience to experience the rawness of the sounds coming straight out of my soul, with no interference or coloring from electronic devices.
That said, I love the sound of the BSG.
If I were interested in buying a new instrument, I would have a hard look at one of those.

  • Beautiful video, I also saw the Eastman L-OM-QS hanging on the wall, now here with me in Berlin …. Cheers

  • I have a Furch Vintage II OM that is the only guitar I’ve ever played in a store and couldn’t leave behind. I play it as much as my J-45 Gibson.

  • This is a very good channel I enjoy your videos but I’ve just recently discovered @Hsienmo guitars and used their updated D45 style on my new soon to be released acoustic record and not only is it the best acoustic under $2000 its also the best dreadnaught I’ve ever owned period. lol I might ad I am currently a Boucher endorser and was an Olson endorser in 1990. 🙂

  • I personally have wanted a J 45 that I don't need but it's my choice, not that one. U have many guitars, Eastman to Martin… but no Gibson or Taylor and I would consider a j 45. The Eastman Guitars are great.

    Muchas gracias!

  • Eastman guitars are an interesting case. Normally, I would avoid anything made in China, basically because it is impossible to guarantee the working conditions. However, factory tours all show that their conditions, while not up to US/UK standards are pretty good and certainly better than most Chinese factory settings. Furch are great guitars and keep getting better, but I haven't yet heard one that matches my Martins or Collings. One thing I feel strongly about is that you should not consider the inclusion of electronics. This is because it depends on the quality of these and on personal choice. I, for example would never buy a guitar with a piezo as I would immediately have to change it out. Also, at 2K you can probably get the electronics of your choice for 10% of the purchase price, which most people can stretch to. Finally, the used market is a wonderland at this price point if you know what you're doing (or know someone who does). The last time I bought a guitar new was because I got a special deal which reduced it to half price, but these opportunities rarely come more than once in a lifetime.

  • Eastman keeps amazing me every time ????I own a D41 bought in the shop, its an outstanding thing, I do some covers recording at home and it sounds little to boomy but I feel doesn't fit with my homework and play, I'm considering to change ????maybe a go for a Eastman

  • great video. i own 2 eastmans currently—E10D-TC and Romeo LA (and have owned an E1SS-SB and an E20OM-MR-TC) and am so impressed by them all! i'm very close to pulling the trigger on an E10-OO-SS/v, and am really looking at the new T-style Fullertone in Black! love (almost) all of your content! ????

  • I found the sound of the BSG guitar very impressive. Is it that cedar tops tend to be louder with a soft touch than spruce tops? When I was at your shop I only had a brief look at the BSG guitars because I found them all very heavy. Is this still the case with their guitars?

  • 99% of all Taylor guitars are far too treble-heavy.
At these prices, I'd rather have a Gibson or a Breedlove.
