  • Thanks for great review. I’m about to get the cordoba stage and hope that the expectations pan out.. your thoughts on this one are helpful for the other purchase. Thanks again!

  • you neglected to mention that it's the most metal-looking nylon string guitar created.

lol just having fun. it seems to have the same acoustic properties as my Schecter C-1 EA; it's definitely a solid body electric with acoustic-ish tones from the Fishman Power Bridge.

  • As a nylon only player, this actually a phenomenal nylon guitar. I own the ibanez tod10n and would put this at the quality of that. The godin multiac or kiesel ac2 are both the 2 best nylon electric guitars. You need to have soemoen who only play nylon to review much different atyle not a rock blues or metal style guitar. Ill gladly take it off your hands lol

  • I really appreciate this review. I had a similar mindset going into this & now i know i probably won't be getting this particular one but most likely the cordoba one.

  • I own the steel string. I"m getting a cheap nice case from online, rather easily. It's a very quality ax. All the things he claims are true, but it's every bit as good as my Cordoba or Taylor. The preamp is not unusually big. It's not a @#$% Gibson L-5. It's worth finding used or on sale. I'm getting the nylon string next. I've not had the experience he has at all. BTW, I've had everything from Gibson to Dano to Kiesel. Great vid, as he does objectively say, this might be a guitar for you, and so on, I just wanted to put in my 2 cents. HF.

  • "Just started to play nylon…" explains a lot about this review. Try playing a classical or worse, a flamenco guitar, live and the feedback gets ridiculous. That's what guitars like this (Cordoba's Stage; Ibanez' Henson clones, and Yamahas' Silent) are addressing. They aren't meant to be played unplugged unless one practices while watching TV/movies with others.

The long neck gives it 22 frets; great if you want to play metal covers.

I've had mine a month and haven't quite bonded with it; but DT obviously put zero thought into how he would use it and will probably be happier with Cordoba's child-oriented guitar. My 8-year-old grandson loves his mini!

  • Thanks for the review. I just bought this at Sam ash online for $200. They were having a going out of business sale. Was looking forward to having a solid body classical. We’ll see. Worst case if I don’t like it I’ll give to a friend.

  • I don't know why, but I find the fact that it has a hole carved into it insulting to my intelligence. Like, I know it's not actually an acoustic instrument, it's a piezo box – we can dispense with the formality!

  • What do you get when you put an SG Neck on a 175 styled thinline body, uh, the LTD TL6. If you want the ultimate in a guitar of this style you want a Taylor T5 series guitar. With that said be prepared to spend upwards of 2 to 4k for one, but you get a phenomenal instrument with unheard of versatility thanks to a custom hybrid electronics system that allows you to blend conventional electric pickup arrangements with acoustic body sensor tech to create an effect of two guitars playing in synchronized electric and acoustic formats by running a splitter to an acoustic clean amp and an electric dirty amp.

I do not hate the LTD TL6, it has its place, but it does come in as a one trick pony and lacks the versatility that its design misleads it as providing. If they were to revise the electronics to be more like the T5z it would be a winner in my opinion; especially given that it plays more like an electric than an acoustic. Like you said it is truly a missed opportunity.

  • I really appreciate the honesty. So many reviews just give specs and a pretty demo, and don’t add anything to the conversation. Your review definitely helps us make a decision.

  • Great review. I, in fact, like the gloss but im bummed you had to mic it up not just plug it into your computer

  • I play guitar for more than 30 years. I also teach students for more than 20 years.

I have a small collection of guitars of about 20, both electric and acoustic.

I use with all my skills for 8 months the same model but with steel strings TL 6 – FM AQMB (the green one).

Other than beeing a little too big and a hint away from the neck, the body is very confortabile and easy to play, so does the neck, the fret job, paint job (very nice sunburst on green), Grover tuners and so forth.

I'm very happy and pleased with this model. It's not the perfect guitar but sounds very good both with amp or without.

The only flaw în my opinion is the în board tuner. Is not precise and just hard to tune the guitar. Other than that, is a quality instrument, well buit and a joy to play!

I have also the new TOD 10 from Ibanez, that model is a little bit more confortable but both are great guitars!

Great review by the way! ????????

  • I hate glossy guitars love me a mat finish and you were dead on with the Enya Nova go, I’ve got 2 Martins yet am emotionally attached to my Enya. You’re very entertaining and funny though informative in my opinion, also love your playing.????????

  • Feels like you had no idea what you were buying. These thin body nylon string guitars, are not meant to be played unplugged. They're electric nylon strings. They're meant to be plugged into an acoustic amp or into a PA. If you think that they're going to sound amazing unplugged, that's kind of ignorant.

  • Sorry this guy is way to full of himself and his childish antics really detract from anything useful he might have to say. I suggest that anyone who wants to learn about the ESP LTD TL-6N close this video and go watch someone who might have something worthwhile.

  • Pretty good review, but it would've been nice if you had at least plugged it in — so, that others could hear it – rather than rambling on about why you hate it. Again, those are just my 2 cents.
