Everyone has the "feelies" for the expensive guitar, except in the blindfold test Chapman thought an Epiphone Les Paul Pro ($499) was the Gibson Les Paul Standard ($2700). Truth is, they don't feel that much different. It is in your head. You are paying for a brand sticker, like a polo pony on your shirt. And you are paying through your nose.

the conditions are not equal. on a cheap LP the pickups are without covers
The gibson sounds just a little but fuller and brighter, but with a bit of eq it won't make a difference
There’s a difference but surely I’d rather buy some active pick ups and slap them on the 200$ one and have 2.8k more afterwards for something else ????

Crazy how you can just buy a cheap one and change the neck and pickups for a few hundred dollars and have an arguably better sounding guitar and playing experience than the Gibson for less than half the price ????

No-one in this world needs to pay more than $800 for a guitar. Beyond that is just because you want something special. Pick-ups and amp alone bring way bigger difference than the guitar itself.

There is no difference. Buy what's fun to play and if you want good sound, get a good speaker, new strings and learn to play properly.
I have a conspiracy theory that states guitar tubers play clumsy the cheaper instruments on purpose, change my mind
