Seattle indie rockers Deep Sea Diver released their fourth full-length record, Billboard Heart, earlier this year via Sub Pop, and their supporting cross-country tour took them to downtown Nashville’s Blue Room at Jack White’s Third Man Records.
PG’s Chris Kies connected with singer and guitarist Jessica Dobson in 2020 for a virtual Rig Rundown, but this time we get a close-up, in-person look at Dobson’s tour kit, including her signature Benson stomp box and a custom guitar.

"I chose them because of their values" how Corporate American ???? Could the band name be any more pretentious/wankerish ? Her Ma's Mercedes, more rich theatre school kids posing as grimey edgy artistes. I could have predicted the size of that ridiculous pedalboard from the name of the band or hell, even her foto. You know she ain't carrying that thing.
The ES8 convo makes sense–in the early days JD spent a lot of time distracted by dealing with the pedals and not 100% into delivering the vocals and connecting w the audience. I really noticed that was corrected on the most recent tour. Didn't realize it was the ES8 that did it!

Can you name the parts more simple, like ‚pedalboard‘? I dont want to guess and scrubb through the video only to find the part I‘m interested in. Also these D‘addario ads are annoying as heck. Not only only that but I‘m a life-long EB guy! Show the ad in the beginning pr in the end but not mid video. I‘m paying YT Premium to not get annoyed by ads. You‘re doing just the same!

I saw them open for PJ in 2023, and it bums me out that I was unable to see Deep Sea Diver again with them this year.
But they are an incredible band!!
