Why call it a J45 if its not the same dimensions. That not a j45, it just looks like a j45. Call it a J43.
I love my beautiful girl, but that nitro stuff they spray on it smells like absolute dog shit. I'm sure it goes away eventually but it totally overwhelms the smell of the wood and fills the whole room. It's a necessary evil I guess because it is good stuff, but gawd damn. It gets stuck in my nose for hours lol

Went to GC today and bought the J45 Special…I've been waiting a long time for this amazing guitar!
The thinner body is to make it sound cheaper than the full-size ones. This is to they can sell it for cheeper and not compete with themselves. It is what it is. That J-45 is a great value though for a U.S. built acoustic right now.
All respect to Gibson..not impressed with the sound of either “new” model. Retail price for entry level J45/H bird @2K+ isn’t a great value imo..but hey I’m sure you’ll sell plenty of them.

Gibson has chosen a losing path. Took 2 iconic guitars and ruined them. Unbelievable, why not call them something else. Martin for 2025 has done some great up grades to their standard line.. and then, what does Gibson do. Trash the name of some great guitars. With some budget build.. I own a 2023 Hummingbird Original, 2023 Southern Jumbo Original.. after the purchase of 2 2025 Martin D18s. One natural finish the other 1933 ambertone finish.The Gibsons never leave the cases.. Reason for 2 I put a pickup in one.. plus, they're just great sounding guitars.
Love a j-45. Really like this guitar but wish they could have kept the same body depth. Couldn’t have been that much money saved with that. Idk
Stop diluting the J45 name … If it's a smaller size, then call it something else. All Gibson is doing is screwing with the prestige and resale value of an actual J45…. If you can't afford the real thing, buy the Epiphone version….Geez!

Personally, I think they’re muddy. The water don’t like them having said that they’re gonna be great for people who haven’t got the cash.
