Currently gigging with a PRS SE DGT. Probably the best guitar I've gigged with and it's a signature model. If it makes sense for you, play it. Just because you have a Dean, doesn't mean you can't play Metallica.

Nr5: when my daughter started playing guitar i avoided the starterpacks. Just bought a second hand marshall en a second hand ESP f10. Reasonable sound, and if she'd stop playing; easy to sell

I bought a squire Esquire tele SH to bang around and it has become my favorite guitar.
But what about a Harley Benton starter pack that includes exactly the same stuff you'd buy seperately? 😀
Ok, I get it, the 79€ Strat is the cheapest of the cheap and you'd probably start with a slightly better model at least, but having built some of their DYI kits that come with the same super cheap hardware I must say I was quite impressed and wished I would've had such a cheap option back when I started and had absolutely no money, I'm not feeling like I have to upgrade those anytime soon. I also own "better" guitars like my 750€ Hagström, but actually when I just want to grab one quickly I tend to pick the 100€ selfbuilt Jaguar, plays and sounds absolutely nice.
Anyway, I made that "mistake" and bought their JA-Bass starter pack just to have a very basic bass in the house and I'm actually quite happy with it and that basic bass amp. Not saying it's great quality but for an absolute beginner who doesn't even know if bass is for them: pretty nice.
Im looking at getting a Yamaha Pacifica 612 or a Strandberg Boden essential. 100% keep as far from Walmart or Amazon starter kits as you can, get a squire or an Ibanez gio if you want cheap name brand, otherwise upgrade a Harley Benton, y’all new players got this!
I found a 1400 custom BC Rich mockingbird for $700 and it is killer pair the Duncan design pickups are pretty hot. And I found a 75 White line 6 spider at a pawn shop for $100. I love my set up

more often than not 7 strings come with lower prices and more options than baritone so i dont see why u should avoid them
